Cameo Pizza — Restaurant in Ohio

Day: Thursday/Time: 6pm We decided to try out Cameo because on Thursday night their menu is all half off, with dine-in only. Having been to other Cameo locations we did expect pretty good pizza and we're not disappointed. We ordered a four item large pizza, and it came to $10.75-ish after the half off discount. We had to wait for probably about 40 minutes, but that was forgiven because there was a birthday party and what looked like a memorial type party going on out by the lanes. At any rate the pizza was tasty! They got extra bonus points for sure because of the fact they use fresh mushrooms and fresh spinach. The young man in the kitchen was working his butt off and doing a very good job of getting orders out. We sat at the bar and our waitress Angie was friendly and efficient even though she too was obviously very very busy. This review has been a long time coming. I moved back to the Fremont area in late 2021 and only just now (mid 2022) stopped in for dinner at Cameo. It was on a Thursday and I was actually not aware of their half price specials on that day, so it was an added surprise.

While the wait was fairly long due to the big crowd of folks who were there taking advantage of the Thursday special, the pizza I shared with a family member was delicious and well worth the wait. They use FRESH spinach and mushrooms on their pizzas, and I can only assume their other vegetable toppings are also fresh. The difference between canned vegetables and fresh vegetables on a pizza is like night and day and elevated the meal well above other local places.

I absolutely recommend Cameo in Fremont if you're looking for good food at a good price. Even when things aren't on special, the prices are not too bad and well worth it considering they use fresh ingredients as opposed to canned.

Do NOT go if you only want dinner. We waited hour and 15 minutes for a medium pizza, that was then soggy. Our friends order a sub an chicken nuggets. It took an hour and they sub was cold. The cheese wasn't even melted on top and they messed up the nuggets order. We should have known when we were the only table there for just dinner. It's also a bowling ally.
