Cocca's Pizza — Restaurant in Ohio

I ordered a Sausage Sandwich with cheese, sauce, peppers and onions. It came without the peppers and onions, but that was not the issue. The place was extremely busy, so I would always take that into account. I told my waitress and she was apologetic and went back to the grill to let them know. The waitress was great.

Here comes the issue. From the rear I hear a man say, "They are on there." A man then came out, look at my plate, and repeated, "They are on there." I opened the sandwich wide open to expose everything and said, "There are no peppers and onions on here." In a voice that could be heard two to three booths down, and in defiance of my statement, he again says, "They are on there, but I'll go get more." Clearly there were no peppers and onions on this sandwich. As stated before,, the lack of them was not the issue. The issue was how this cook, manager, owner, or whoever he was, responded to the situation. He was either blind, which he was not, or not willing to take responsibility, which was the case.

The man came back with my plate. Yes, in the middle of COVID 19, he came back with the same plate that had my single bite taken off the first half. But the best part is that both halves were drowning in peppers and onions. I would expect that it was twice the peppers and onions of a normal order. It made me think he was doing it to spite our differences. That was not stated, but it is how it made me feel.

The food was good and my waitress was good, but this man, who appears to be "in charge", is not someone I would want to...

As a busy mom, I ordered pizza on Halloween. I tried to call a few times and got a busy signal, so that right there tells me that their phone was ringing off the hook with customers who had the same idea as me! When that happens I expect a longer pick up/delivery time. I was quoted 45 mins (not too bad since they had a great deal going on and let’s face it, it’s Halloween!). I get there and it’s extremely busy, you see employees prepping the food and the ovens are full. One tray comes out and another one goes in! I give the hardworking staff a lot of credit! They have one register to place orders and another one for cashing people out! They were literally going as fast as they possibly could without causing an accident! My problem was not with the staff or the fact that it took a little longer! My problem was with the rude customers that myself and my two children had to encounter! Customers were yelling at the employees and making things actually go slower! I actually wanted to leave because of the customers and not because of the wait time! I was in the store for almost 45 minutes waiting to get my food because ignorant and rude people who thought they were entitled decided to keep yelling their names until they got their food! I just wanted to tell the staff that they did a fantastic job for how extremely busy they were! I know if those people were in your shoes, they would’ve cracked under the pressure and walked out! My pizza and pepperoni rolls were delicious!...

The first time we visited, shortly after opening, we had a good pizza even though service was slow. We thought it was because they just opened and were still figuring it all out. The second time we ordered take out. My husband had to wait an additional 20 minutes past his pick up time to get the pizza. The pizza was ok but wouldn't say exceptional. We stopped in a third time and it took almost 15 minutes before our drink order was taken and received menues. Then it took almost 20 minutes to have our order takes. We ordered sandwiches which took an additional 20 minutes to receive. The apology included an excuse for being short staffed. Tonight we thought we would give them one more try. 4 empty booths and none were clean and another tabled still had empty plates all over it. We waited 10 minutes and no one stopped to acknowledge us and wipe down the table so we got up and left. This will be the last time we try Cocca's pizza in Canfield, Ohio. This service was on a Tuesday no less. To add, we went to Pizza Hut and our drink order was taken when we were seated. And perhaps 2 or 3 minutes later our dinner order was taken.
