I really wanted to write a great review on this place when we first sat down. The setting was amazing and the DJ that was doing karaoke had a great personality and huge selection of music. Numerous times throughout our experience there my wife and I both mentioned that it felt like we were on vacation. Unfortunately though, that's where the good times ended for us. We both ordered water and Corona's with 2 Penny Burgers with fries. Seemed pretty simple. After waiting for almost an hour, our waitress told us that the cooks didn't see that we had ordered 2 burgers and they're making the other one right now. 45 minutes later they brought out both burgers but 1 order of fries. We were then told that they didn't see the second order of fries on the order and that it will be right out. Long story short, our waitress and the atmosphere were absolutely amazing. But the burgers were both overcooked and definitely not worth the wait. The waitress did bring out 2 extra Corona's during our wait and she ended up comping our entire check for the evening. She earned her money and I felt bad for the situation that she was put in by the kitchen staff. We graciously left her a large tip for taking care of us. We loved the setting and waitress, but will probably not be back simply because of the food. They do have an amazing setup and wait staff, but the food was definitely lacking. If they can fix the wait times for the food and food quality the Copper Penny could really be an...
Read moreWorst bar on the lake! It was so bad I don’t even know where to start. To begin our waitress who is also the bartender forgot our drinks. Once we reminded her, she came out with our drinks and told us they were on the house. My salad came out, and our pizza never arrived. We asked about our pizza. It was discovered that it had been given to another table. This was no surprise because there was a young lady walking around, trying to give food away all evening because she wasn’t sure which table to deliver the food. We were told there was one pizza left and within 15 minutes we were told there were no more pizzas and we could have anything on the menu on the house. We ordered and within a few minutes the table in front of us got our pizza. I went in to complain and got two more drinks on the house. While waiting on my free drinks my order came out, but the hamburger had not even been put on the grill. The man who got the pizza was standing beside me and felt so bad that he paid for our bill. He came out and told us he paid our bill and we told him our food and drinks are on the house because we’ve been here for 2 1/2 hours. He later came out and told us that they refunded him and we saved him $48. I’m not one to write bad reviews but taking advantage of a customer really makes me angry. They were going to let this guy pay for our food and drinks knowing dam well it was on the house! Taking advantage of a good person is unacceptable. I...
Read morePizza good, service sucks. 2 of 3 visits in last 6 wks poor service. Wait for waitress to realize your there, some tables walk out before ordering due to wait/not being acknowledged, some customers serve other customers beer from behind the counter, because waitress & mngr MIA. Waitress argues w customers complaining of burnt food tells them she marked their ticket as "walk out" to just leave. Waitress mumbles, doesn't give attention to 80 yr old man w hearing aid, asking how to leave tip on receipt. Have to go to bar to ask for drink refills, to go boxes, and the bil. Have to stand up ready to walk out before they come to collect cc for payment. They only bring 2 of the 3 orders of wings you ordered, charge you for items you didn't receive. When you try to talk to management, give them feedback, quietly, they get defensive & talk loud. If your staff is working 104 hrs a wk, and providing poor service, you have people walking out before they order, perhaps you should reevaluate. Maybe limit hours open, so staff can be fully rested, & 100% eager, happy to serve all customers. TO THINK WE ARE NOT EVEN IN FULL BOAT...
