Donnie's On the Lake — Restaurant in Ohio

I would love to give a great review but unfortunately I can’t . We had a reservation and were told the people at the table were still there as they’d been for 2 hours. The girl at the podium said it should be about 20 minutes. So we wait mind you with 4 kids. Half hour goes by and still nothing.Apparently we were invisible. We go to ask how much longer and the girl didn’t know so my son asked to speak to the manager. She comes out with attitude to see what was wrong. We tell her and she says I can’t ask them to leave. Then she turns it around on us. She says What if it was you sitting there? I said “You can tell them you have another reservation waiting politely”. She says “Well I could” but does nothing. She could have slid tables together on the outside patio but apparently she can’t think outside the box. I asked her if it was okay for her to let us sit there all that time while not saying anything to them? Apparently it was. I’m not sure who the manager is but she was of no help and could have cared less we were waiting by now 45 minutes. She would NEVER work for me. Your customer service is awful so I hope your food is better. Won’t be back or ever try it. That’s a shame as we had 10 people but it’s your loss not ours. Service was spot-on, staff was super friendly ,server was the best I've had in awhile she got tipped extra! Very patient with the whole big group that came. The food temperatures were great everything spot on as far as taste goes no complaints in this department live entertainment a solo player did an excellent job lot of well-known songs from country to a little bit of light rock. View out on the patio and porch is outstanding see the boats moving across the water, exceptional place in my book one of the best places to eat in Tuscarawas county, highly recommend will be going back again for sure. As a single mom my chances to even get out the house are pretty slim, so I made plans to come to this restaurant and I show and y’all are closed? I showed up on a Sunday at 6 o’clock. I bet you can only imagine my disappointment considering I was looking forward to this all weekend and I live in the area where there is nothing else around. Next time at least make a Facebook post saying you’ll be closing early before I drive the 30 mins around the lake. Won’t be coming back...
