I hadn't seen this place for almost a decade until this week, and wow, how it has grown. I was there for a gathering and saw they are open daily, and then I saw that Wednesday was half price wings day, and suddenly I was hungry for wings. I don't know why, but I only took a picture of one basket of wings, but I got 2 baskets, 24 wings, and tried 4 different sauces.
PB&J -Maple Buffalo inferno (2nd hottest, I had sauce on the side) -Mango Habanero
I don't like things crazy hot, but wanted to make sure I could handle it for a future event. Inferno was my least favorite. It was very hot, but for me flavor is king. That said, all the wings were smoked and wonderful. A person who likes things extra hot would probably like that particular sauce, and they have all the postings about heat levels. Again, it was research prep. PB&J was an unexpected surprise. I wasn't going to try it, but I did, and I don't regret it. Better than I've would expect, though not my favorite of the 4. Maple Buffalo was quite good, the familiar buffalo flavor with a twist. Mango Habanero was the standout. Listed as one of the hot ones, but the server accurately said it isn't truly hot. The sweet mango hits first, with a nice summer settling in after.
A really great experience, wonderful server, and the atmosphere is great, too. Glad to see a place do so well when it is somewhat out of the way in the old company town of Eclipse, outside of the thriving metropolis of The Plains (you'll get that joke if you're local). Don't forget, The Plains is the hometown of Joe...
Read moreCool place. Fun biker bar vibe where everyone is welcome. Clientele ranged from families with young children to groups of leather-clad bikers to elderly couples to groups of friends celebrating birthdays. We arrived at 7 pm on a Friday night, so as might be expected, it was packed. Honestly, after driving south down Hwy 33, we thought we were in the middle of nowhere, and really didn’t expect a busy place, but it was. Indoor and outdoor seating was almost full, but there were a few tables left, and we were seated without delay. Kathleen was our waitress. She was very friendly and seemed to really like her job (she said that although she had waitressing experience, it was her first actual post-training shift here; this was on Aug 4th). Hope you’re still loving it and having a great time, Kathleen! The food took quite a while to be served after ordering (about 45 minutes), but they were really busy and we were okay waiting. The negative: The food was just okay. My husband’s brisket tasted more like dry pot roast than brisket, although he said the fries were good. I liked my ribs, but thought the mac n cheese was bland and dry. We both ordered side salads, which came with the meal, rather than beforehand (we would have preferred them during our 45 minute wait for the hot food). We saw the high ratings on google before stopping here and it looks like a local favorite, so it could just be that our taste buds differ from the locals, but we weren’t impressed with the food enough to give it a 5...
Read moreMy husband took me on a date this afternoon and we went to eclipse and it was the most awesome experience from the minute we walked up the steps until we walked back down the steps after lunch. And I have to say it lasted longer because it was such a great time and great food that we kind of smiled about it for a while after and we're still bragging to our friends about it. Our server Isabella is without a doubt on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 50. She was the most personable lovable kind-hearted and genuine server I've ever encountered. We learned her story and what a beautiful heart. She was attentive but not hovering. For the food I had the brisket grilled cheese and the mac and cheese for my side my husband had the brisket Rubin and baked beans and we had the pretzel bites for an appetizer. There isn't a complaint that could be found. The place is clean fun music was not too loud everybody was enjoying themselves and it was just overall an excellent experience. We will now continue going back because it felt like home if that makes any sense. It's a fun little drive out to it but it's so worth it. Next time I think I'm going to try one of The fun beers and I am going to get the Reuben sandwich. So please if you're out on a date or just taking the family out definitely go here. You will have zero regrets. And ask for Isabella and when you think you're done eating ask for the red velvet cheesecake did not disappoint and all I could think of was it can't get any...
