Smitty's Pizza — Restaurant in Ohio

Not rating the pizza here, rating the service. Ordered a pizza at 3:23 PM online. At 4:23 call to find out wher pizza was. Told it was on the way. Arrived 5 minutes later, not hot, not warm, cold. Call back and told the first person who answer the issue, who went and got another person, who I told the issue to. She informed me they would send another, but clearly stated the whole pizza would have to be returned. I said that’s fine. Do not eat cold pizza. 40 minutes later I called again and talk to another individual who said pizza was on its way. By this time it had been almost two hours. I ask to talk to a supervisor. He said he was in charge. I asked what his name was and he said he could not give it to me. I ask who the owners were so I could file a complaint, and he said he did not know. Pizza came; at least warm this time, Returned the cold pizza all in tacked. So my advice is don’t order pizza from there web site and don’t have it delivered period, unless you like cold food and poor service. I’ll Never order another pizza or eat there again, and I did a couple times a week. And who ever owns or supervises, whatever goes on there, you might want to do a little training in customer service. Not everyone wants a free pizza, some of us like pizza hot, well...

We tried several items on the menu via delivery. The order was easily placed online without delay. The menu was easy to navigate and we placed our order quickly. It took approx. an hour. It was work every minute. The delivery was quick and efficient. We decided that we needed to try everything from pizza to soup then salad and ice cream. It all looked great. We narrowed it down to a few for this order. Our order was a bacon chicken ranch pizza, lasagne w/garlic bread, jalapeño poppers, chef salad, chocolate milkshake and Mac n cheese. To say that each and everything was very well done is an understatement. The salad was crisp and fresh including pepperoni and freshly cut pepperoncini peppers. It came with fresh ranch dressing. The pizza was delicious. Especially the bacon. It was cut In A square style which made it easy to eat. The lasagne and garlic bread was Delectable. The milkshake was chocolate with a twist of vanilla. The best milkshake I have ever had hands down. The poppers were very good and thankfully not too spicy with cream cheese bursting with each bite. First time going here as I'm not from the area. I was hoping to get a great pizza as they had won an award for the best pizza. I ordered a small Buffalo chicken pizza. I will say that I am from New York, so my version of pizza does differ from most of the pizza I have had in and around WV. The staff was nice, and the person did tell me that they put bbq sauce on the pizza. I asked them not to. I thought a Buffalo chicken pizza was blue cheese, Buffalo hot sauce dipped chicken, celery (sometimes), and cheese. That's the version I have always had when ordering that pizza. I paid almost $18.00 for the pizza. I didn't look at it when I bought it. When I did get the chance to eat it, I was really shocked that there was bacon all over the top. Bacon is ok if you like that in your pizza, but I don't. I wish they would have told me their version is that different. Or maybe have a menu the customer can view on the counter. I wouldn't say not to go there and try it out for yourself because I might try it again if in the area. Just suggest you ask what's specifically on the specialty pizzas...
