The Fireplace — Restaurant in Ohio

Had dinner there about 6:30 pm on a Thursday nite, was seated in front of the Kitchen with the swinging doors . My chair faced those doors the whole time we sat there. There were booths available but the person seating us didn't bring us there, she puts me in front of the crazy kitchen. We waited over 45 minutes for 2 simple dinners, it made for a rotten night. Bad service & more apologies were just not getting it. And I wouldn't have put my dog in the seat she gave me. I hope next time she goes out to dinner, that some one shoves her azz in front of the kitchen doors. There actually shouldn't be a table in front of that kitchen. I was appalled that she sat us there. The owner should sit in the seat I had to sit on and try to have dinner & a nice conversation with my date was highly impossible. I hope the owner of the Fireplace sees my comment. Their manners there were Like they came from the slums. I'm really upset that we were seated at that insane horrible table when there were nice booths available. We certainly won't be back. They owe us a nice dinner in a Booth, not at a slum table. I have been to The Fireplace before for dinner and hadn't been there for a while, so I thought, why not. Let's just say that when I sliced into my fried chicken, it was COLD 🥶 inside, and I had already taken a bite. It started okay. Got there before dinner rush, but the service was just unexceptable, as was the food. When the server saw that her short skirt and cute shoes were NOT going to get her a bigger tip from me, she basically ignored me. Whatever :) When I complained about the raw chicken, the cook came out to see the problem. He said it wasn't done all the way, AND HE PUT IT BACK IN THE OVEN 🤢 and reserved it to me. I should have called the health department, I really could have gotten more than an upset tummy 😔. And to top it off, there wasn't even an adjustment to my bill. Who does that?! Takes partially cooked chicken, serves raw food, gets called on it, misjudgments are made all the time, but we throw out bad food and offer to cook something else. Shameful. If I could give this restaurant a -1st at, especially for service I would.

The ease and accuracy of ordering take out food is terrible.

They managed to inaccurately take my take out order twice, both times messing up the retake out correction orders.

The young hostess is a snot as well as the older women in sandals running the show.

The owner Tommy, isn’t so swift or attentive to his rude employees who can’t fulfill an order.

I understand from personal experience that restaurant and working with the public is hard, but the attitude from the fireplace of western reserve road in Boardman Ohio is uncalled for and needs to pay more attention to the orders they’re taking.
