This restaurant used to be one of my favorite in the area. Pre-Covid I used to frequent this establishment 2 to 3 times a week. The food and service was excellent. One server in particular, Megan was one of my favorite servers, truth is I never had poor service from any of the servers, until recently. I stopped there approximately 3 PM on either 12/4 or 12/5 2024.. there were two servers that I saw behind the counter. Both had dark hair, one wore glasses and seemed to have some sort of accent. The dining room was empty, except for myself, and there were a several people sitting in the bar area, definitely not busy at this time. I sat there for approximately 10 minutes being ignored. I have no doubt they both saw me, I was seated at a 2 chair table at the front of the dining area..the server that wore glasses with the accent started to make a phone call and she walked out into the foyer area where the entrance is. I sat there several more minutes and decided I’ve had enough. As I was leaving, I saw that particular server sitting in the entrance area talking on her phone. I have never had such a terrible experience in this restaurant. The food is always excellent. I have no complaints about that. I do not think I will be going back anytime soon nor will I any longer recommend...

Great place to eat. We were passing through over on the freeway and as I got gas from the Exxon station I opened google to see what there is around there to eat. I was not traveling with the most adventurous group so I didn’t think they would agree to a new unknown place. To my surprise everyone agreed and we ventured over to 40. Such a nice clean fresh atmosphere with wonderfully polite welcoming host and waitress. You couldn’t ask for better. We had the fish sandwich, fish dinner a wrap and chicken fingers. (Not all for me but for everyone there haha) the food was hot and delicious. My wife said it was the best fish sandwich she had ever eaten. The tea was fresh and very tasty. The only thing I didn’t like was the coleslaw. But I like creamy coleslaw this was not. Of course that’s just a personal preference. If you’re anywhere near there and wonder if you should go in, yes go in. Oh I almost forgot, we shared chocolate cake and strawberry cake for dessert. The four of us couldn’t eat it all. The pieces were...

The soft pretzel was very good, the menu said jumbo wings, they were wing dings but they were good. The owner came over to our table and talked me into their award winner pulled pork, the sauce is good, wish there would of been a little more on it because it left the pork a little dry and I believe my sandwich sat under a warmer a little to long because the meat was a little cool when I t got to me. My wife had a burger with their special sauce on it and she said it was very good a little small for what it cost but it tasted good. The fries are very good. The service was slow we couldn't understand because they seem to have plenty of waitresses, maybe the kitchen was backed up with take out orders. The outdoor seating area was very clean and our server was very friendly. We hope to eat there again and try the fried chicken basket that looked really good. We didn't get dessert but the cheesecake looked good. Yes I am pretty good at judging food by...

This is a wonderful quaint little place in Belmont County right off the highway between Wheeling and Columbus. It’s small, but it bats out of its league in terms of food, welcoming atmosphere, and local cuisine. The Wagyu burgers are locally sourced beef, and the Buffalo Chicken Cheese dip is to die for. The bakery features in house made deserts including cheesecakes, which we often get to go. Highly recommend to locals or travelers. As an added bonus, during the summer, they host live local musical talent like Roger Hoard and Dr Dan Jones. Roger is well known to country aficionados as a the professor to Brad Paisley’s musical chops. Amazing Appalachian place!!! Highly recommend!!!

This was our first visit during a stop over at a hotel in Belmont. There was ample parking, the atmosphere was good, service was very attentive and friendly. The food was a 4 out of 5. My wife had a basic hamburger and a side salad, both were good sized and tasted good. I had the special, wagyu beef short ribs, which was a mix of tough and tender meat, too fatty for my liking and the flavor was slightly off, maybe from the seasoning. I had a side of green beans which were ok but pretty soft, and a side of mashed potatoes which were pretty good. We'll be back to try some of the other menu items...and see if we get a 5 star experience.
