Wayside Tavern & Patio — Restaurant in Ohio

I'm hard pressed to give 5 stars on anything... but this is close.

I'm always looking for hidden gems and this place is one of them. Apprehensive at first because of the "must have key card to enter/ visitors buzz in" thing - I was game. Hey, if i walk in and don't feel welcome I'm out. I didn't. Me and my husband got buzzed in, walked to the bar and were greeted by Kelly. asked for menus, asked what beers they had - I'm an IPA drinker and they had plenty of choices. We ordered food and while there were definitely "regulars", I didn't feel uncomfortable. Kelly and Abby were great and attentive. Some of the best burgers we've ever had! And we've had a lot! Loaded tots were the bomb! Everyone at the bar was friendly. I loved the vibe and the banter. Would totally come back!! Really, a hidden gem and i respect the key card entry thing. It's your place, you can be selective! 10/10...

My boyfriend and I got there and ordered 2 drinks. We told her we wanted to order food soon and got a menu. When we were ready to order my boyfriend kept trying to get her attention and it became clear that she was blatantly ignoring him. I then got her attention and she said that she would be with us soon. We waited and waited and she never came back to us and instead just kept serving everyone else. We gave up after being ignored for about 45 minutes. We left a 20 on the counter and left. She was a younger bartender with longish brown hair. I don't understand why she did that but we were probably the youngest couple in the bar. We planned on spending a good amount of money, too. Drinks were mediocre at best. Don't...

Great place to enjoy your time even for someone who is new to the area. People are friendly. Bartender is friendly. They have pool tables, darts, back patio, drink are at a decent price even cocktails. Even tho u have to be buzzed in its a great place to meet people have condos and manager is a sweetheart. I didn't get a chance to have their food as I got there late which is understandable but over all definitely give it a try if new to the area. I will definitely come back when I come...
