Review of Braum’s (63rd Street Location)
I’ve always appreciated Braum’s and what they contribute to our community. Living just down the road from the 63rd Street location, I frequently stop by throughout the day for groceries, and I’ve consistently been impressed by the friendly atmosphere and the helpful staff. Their service has made each visit feel warm and welcoming, and I’ve come to rely on their high standards.
However, my recent experiences have raised some concerns. Over the past few visits, I’ve noticed a shift in the mood of the staff, particularly in the evening my work hours. On one occasion, I arrived with a friend who had just flown into town, and the server (Marvin) seemed put off by our late visit (around 10:30 PM). Not only did he make a comment about our timing, but when I asked to double my order, he muttered something under his breath, rolling his eyes. While I initially brushed it off, thinking maybe he was just having a rough day, my most recent visit left me feeling unsettled.
This time, I arrived for a quick drink and witnessed the same individual shouting at employees and throwing a box across the kitchen. Though he wasn’t yelling directly at customers, the scene was unsettling. It was clear that his behavior created a negative energy, and I couldn’t help but feel bad for the staff who were on the receiving end of such treatment.
I understand the importance of work ethic, but I also recognize that outward behavior matters. The way this employee conducted himself—rudely and disrespectfully—was not just a bad look for the restaurant, but it also made me question whether I want to continue supporting a place where staff is treated poorly.
Braum’s has always been a staple in our community, and I hope they take this feedback to heart. The food and service have always been top-notch, but I believe the work environment could benefit from some attention to ensure that everyone feels respected, both customers and...
Read moreCame here on my 30 minute lunch break which takes 10 minutes to get to and 10 minutes back to my job. I ordered a #1 with no onions or braums sauce ketchup instead . The lady on the headset asked if I still wanted the mayo on there too I said yes just no braums sauce add ketchup. Once I make it back to work I unwrap my burger and there is no lettuce, tomatoes or pickles on my burger , just a lot of mayo and ketchup. I had to call 11 times before getting answer on the 11th try and when I explained to the manager Rosa that I didn’t have anything on my burger she told me to come back and she’d replace it. I explained to her that I was only on a 30 minute lunch break and at this point had no time to go back. She said the only way she could fix it is if I brought the burger back to her and she replaced it. I’m sorry but I wasn’t going to leave a burger sitting in my car for 3 hours for a replacement. Secondly I’m at work and had taken a LUNCH break and drove all the way to this location to EAT. she then tells me that I can come back tomorrow and buy another #1 medium size and she’ll give me a large but I’ll have to pay for the food. If there was a misunderstanding from the cook about my ticket I should have been asked at the window for clarification. I’m not sure how that’s fair to me as a customer to have to spend more money for lettuce, tomatoes and pickles...
Read moreI have been to likes of In-n-Out, Chick-fil-A, Whataburger, Sonic, and Culver’s, and Braum’s blew me out of the water. The servers were friendly and helpful in assisting my mates and me in deciding what to order for dessert, as well as our lunch. I’ll boil the beauty of Braum’s down to three main aspects: the cost, the quality, and the selection. The cost of everything was far below what the other fast food joints aforementioned charge for similar products, but the quality was outstanding. Usually the patties are relatively thin and you may feel gypped, but the burgers were scrumptious and thick, plus, they were able to switch the drink out for a protein-packed shake (24g of protein!) for no extra charge. Lastly, the selection of food and desserts was brilliant. Seemingly a hundred different types of ice cream and frozen yoghurt was in their grocery section (another great aspect), but as we were just passing through OKC, we opted for the cone. I got a heaping scoop of butter pecan, a flavour new to me. This was among over twenty flavours readily available at the counter, and they let us try a few as samples as well. All in all, brilliant fast food place, perhaps the most brilliant in the States, certainly of the regional fast...
