the pigs in blanket were really good. we came in around 10:40am on a sunday so most of the items were already sold and whatever was available were whatever that was left. i recall that if you get pigs in blanket at a taiwanese bakery you have to get them before a certain time or theyre already considered stale and not as fresh. the owner offered to microwave the pigs in blanket so i understand he meant they are not going to be quite fresh. regardless they were still quite edible and delicious. the donuts were above average but not impressive. in all fairness the donuts were bought at 10:40am. i surmise that this is a good place for morning donuts for nearby locals but not quite a place to go out of the way to visit unless you had one lazy weekend morning where you just wanted to try a random place just to soak in a different...

I lived in oak cliff for the last 8yrs and when thunder donuts first opened, they did impress me and my son and I came every morning before school and on sundays. I stopped coming after covid 19 was introduced to america because I was cooking more. Friends of mine had some complaints but I like to see it to believe it myself. Today, I bought 4 donuts and 2 bacon sausage egg cheese croissant....7-11 donuts that’s right across the street got them beat. 7-11 donuts arrive at 2am. Plus they don’t sell half dozens Anymore and what used to cost $.75 for a 1 regular glazed donut is now the cost of a $.99 cheese burger from McDonald’s Basically, price went up but quality went waaaaay down. I had the pleasure of visiting Thunder Donuts, located at 2929 SE 44th St in OKC, and was thoroughly impressed by their delicious offerings. Their cinnamon old-fashioned donut was a standout, boasting the perfect balance of freshness and sweetness. I also managed to snag the last apple fritter in the case, and it did not disappoint - the glaze was spot-on, and the flavor was bursting through.
