Wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. We waited for a table upon arrival 20 minutes. We waited for coffee for 20 minutes. We waited for cold breakfast for 40 minutes. There was no butter for our toast but there was jelly that we declined. There was a gnat stuck in the topping of the cinnamon roll special. We waited for our check after asking for it for 20 minutes. For the quality of the food and the accompanying service, the price did not match. Not by a long shot. I finally walked up to the bar to try to pay for our food and that's when I got the attention of Trinity V when she wanted to take my money. Otherwise she wasn't interested in having us as customers. We had better service from the other servers than from our own waitress. When we questioned why our food was taking so long she tried to blame it on the party of 10 that was seated after us...the party of 10 ahead of us was served and gone. Had our food been good, hot and fresh, I might have bought her fake excuse how the other servers were able to take care of their tables while she was not. The main host didn't bother to stop by our table to check on us and ask about our experience...I really hope he's not one of the owners, because if so that's really a shame for what could have been a great way to save this atrocious experience in customer service. I was asked by the bartender (when I was waiting for Trinity V to realize I was done with her nonsense) how everyone was. All I could say was BAD. And I just looked at her and said it was bad from the minute we got there. We thought it would be a nice choice to try another area business that we had not yet tried. Our mistake. We will not make that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen we arrived they told us it would be just a minute to sit, it took them almost 30 minutes to get seated. After we were seated we placed our order rather quickly. There were hardly any kids meal options so we planned to share meals with the kids. Since the meals were over $20 we expected to have enough of a serving size to feed kids as well. We waited for over an hour for food after we ordered. It took them almost 45 minutes to bring the tiniest loaf of bread for a group of 8. When our waitress asked if weād like more bread we said yes, and she asked if we wanted 2, so we said yes. We were NOT informed that each loaf would be $2 extra. After we received our tiny portions we realized to feed our kids it would be $20 a plate. Theyāre 3 and 5, but the servings were so small. We fed our kids, and had no food left over for us. We asked for an extra side of dressing and were CHARGED for a small cup of dressing. After spending hours here for a horrible experience and very mediocre over priced food, we left very disappointed. We were excited to try this place since we have heard good things, however our dinner time experience was so horrible I could never recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I were in town for our birthdays over the weekend. On Saturday we made the excellent choice of going there for lunch. The food was fantastic. On the way out the door, we grabbed a couple Bourbon Carmel Pecan cinnamon rolls because they looked so fantastic. I think it was the best cinnamon roll I ever had. I called the next morning and reserved two more for us. Iām glad I did because they were flying off the shelf and they would have sold them many times over if I hadnāt called ahead. We sat down to have lunch and my wife ordered the hippie chick sandwich with turkey and bacon. Oh my, that sandwich was a piece of art. I had the French toast casserole and it was wonderful. Everyone was so kind. The service was really quick for what great food it was. I highly recommend Chickanellas to anyone. We did go on a weekend I February, not the 4th of July or some other high traffic time. The food is worth the wait!!! Canāt...
