How do I begin? My family and I went there on a whim. We were disappointed to say the least. Had a hard time finding the entrance. Started up a brick pathway that was blocked turned around went up a gravel path that was way too steep. Had a hard time finding the door because it was all the way in the back. When you walk in it's very dark. Had a time trying to figure out where to go because you had a long cluttered hallway to the left and saloon style doors in front of you. after about a minute a lady did come to greet us, she should have said there was a step down, SHE DIDN'T! I nearly tripped! "Watch your step" She said after the fact. HELLO??? Should have said that before!!! For someone with back problems this was already not starting off good! We're seated and the chairs are heavy and hard! All Wood! Not Comfortable! When we were given menus we noticed how heavy they were because the cover is made out of metal. WHY??? Can't see the menu anyway because it's so dark. I was getting eye strain just trying to read the thing. They have no kids menu and I have a child with special needs, there was no way he was going to be able to eat anything on there. My husband and I don't drink and we found it frustrating that you have to get through a long wine list to get to the menu. The wine list was longer than the menu itself! Then when we found the menu we were shocked to see the prices. I do put my family and I can't afford $45 for a steak. We decided to leave because we just couldn't afford to eat there. Looking around as we were leaving I began to notice all the clutter EVERYWHERE!!!! That is another reason I'm glad we didn't stay because it smelled dusty and my son and I are highly allergic! As my husband had to help me back down the gravel pathway I said to him that I don't think this place is handicapped accessible and would never think of bringing anyone who was there because of it. On a good not, the bright spot in all of that was our waitress, she was very pleasant and when we explained that we weren't expecting the prices to be that high and that we weren't going to say, she didn't charges us for the drinks we had gotten. In my humble opinion, somebody should call Robert Irvine of Restaurant Impossible, he would have a field day. In a nut shell, this places isn't good if you have no money, a family or are handicapped! If you are any of those, you should go...
Read moreLove the vibe, but if you don’t have 2.5 hours to spend on a meal, this place isn’t for you.
There’s a weird obsession with pro-Trump merchandise, printed out political memes all around the restaurant, and Joe Biden pictures in the toilets too. I’m not a democrat, but I don’t get the point in alienating half of your potential clientele. It’s a very odd business decision.
Overall, our meal was decent. When you look at the price tag for what we got, it is madly overpriced. There are better steaks for cheaper all over the state. What you’re paying for here is the unique building and decor. For me that just wasn’t enough.
Our server was sweet, but everything was remarkably slow. Our appetizer took over 20 minutes to come out, our salads took another half an hour after that. Then finally when our steaks came out 90 minutes into being there, mine was overdone and had to be recooked. The second one that came out tasted great. But for the price, there is much much better out there. It was similar to a Texas Roadhouse steak, but $20 more expensive.
We for some reason didn’t get any bread either. We asked for it, and it still didn’t come, so we didn’t push it. By the end of the meal we just wanted to leave.
There is a nice coupon online for $15 off, but really that didn’t come close to offsetting how overpriced everything is.
The highlight of everything was the bar area. The bartender was kind and poured solid drinks. They had a nice selection too. Nothing crazy, but the 4 Roses Small Batch Select was a nice find.
Overall, I wouldn’t eat here again. The prices on the menu out front are incorrect, and everything has risen. The food wasn’t great by any means, and for a $150+ meal for two people, we can get some absolutely fantastic meals elsewhere.
As a side note, the spicy steak seasoning was terrible. It needs to be redesigned, because it currently just tasted like a 49¢ McCormick’s fajita/taco...
Read morelong story. tried this place for the 1st time on our anniversary. I will start by saying my spicy ribeye was amazing, perfectly cooked. before going I had looked at a fb review were someone complained about fried pickles being too salty. my wife loves them, and since the review was a few weeks old, and molly's had personally commented on it, i figured it would be a safe bet. upon arrival our waitress never asked if we had been there before, or if it was a special occasion. we asked about a sweet wine, and she had zero knowledge of the wine selection. had to catch her walking away to order fried pickles, she just tried to take our drink order and run off. pickles arrived and were so salty it was like a practical joke. we had been doing a physical activity and were starved. we managed a few of them down with wine, no water was brought with the wine. we told the waitress how salty they were, and had to request water. she brought warm water with melted ice. also requested no tomatoes on my salad, i got tomatoes. then my wife had to request tartar sauce for her tilapia. once again the sauce was like eating pure salt. when we told the waitress,,, this is the worst part,, she told us she had salad dressing before her shift and it was horrible. why she didnt bring this to the kitchens attention, and served bad dressing all night blows my mind. then came and argued with me about pickles, saying it must have been salty grease.. cmon, it was in the batter or they need to get different pickles. was never offered to remove pickles from bill, or free dessert.. just a sorry about your bad dinner, see you later. was not expecting this from such a high end place. my steak is the only reason they didnt get one star. really cool...
