This is regarding the robbers cave location. The food was absolutely terrible, I ordered the country fried steak with fries and loaded mashed potatoes with a sweet tea. My mother in law got the fried fish dinner and had no issues. My husband ordered a burger with a salad and a diet dr pepper and we got a lemonade for our toddler. The lemonade tasted like water with a drop of artificial lemon juice put in it. So i requested a sprite for my toddler which tasted fine. They were brewing fresh sweet tea so i requested a water in the meantime. We drank all of our drinks before our server came to greet us due to it being over 10 minutes. After she took our order i had to request my tea and a refill for my husband. She brought both out in a timely manner. The tea that was brought out tasted old and bitter. When our food finally came out, they gave me regular mashed potatoes instead of the loaded mashed potatoes. The gentleman promptly brought me the loaded potatoes when mentioned. They gave my husband fries instead of a salad with his burger and we had to request the salad to be brought out. When i took a bite of my loaded mashed potatoes they were cold and the bacon was old and cold and soured. I then tried a bite of my country fried steak it was absolutely rancid to the point i puked in the empty cup from the water as i ran to the bathroom. I had to run back to the bathroom at least 5 times to puke again. My husband tried his burger and after 2 bites, his stomach started to turn due to the burger still being basically raw in the middle. When asked if everything was ok by our server my husband told her no, the food is so terrible we can not eat it and that he just wanted to get the check and leave so we could go somewhere else to eat. She insisted on getting the manager and the manager apologized and attempted to replace our meals. The manager claimed to be the gm of the location and takes pride in the quality of the food there. He told my husband that he took part of our food off the bill and gave us free food tickets. Our bill was still over $40. The owners of this place should definitely look into what they are serving and probably check their meats and warmers...
Read moreWe made reservations for 7 people on Valentines Day for 6PM at Lookout Restaurant at Robbers Cave in Wilburton, Oklahoma. Drove 45 minutes from Eufaula to get to the restaurant. We had all looked at the menu online and food selection looked really good, and they supposedly were offering a Valentines special. When we got there our table was not ready (why make reservations). They had two wait staff people FOR VALENTINES day and one was a trainee , first night on the job. We waited while they got a table ready. We all sat down, looked at menu and it was nothing like the one online, very limited. After an extended wait the trainee came over and took our drink orders. She did not write anything down, so needless to say, our drinks were wrong. Okay we let that slide. After she served us drinks she disappeared, never to be seen again. Thus leaving only one waitress for the entire restaurant. We waited about 15 minutes and finally went to search for someone to take our orders. By this time they had probably 15 people waiting to be seated. The waitress said they were severely understaffed and just give her a few more Minutes and she would take our orders. She never reappeared , since she was busy taking care of other people that had gotten there before us. The main waitress was very nice and was doing the best she could. My question is why, on Valentines Day, would you not have more wait staff there. You were advertising a Valentines Special for dinner, but no mention of that when we got to restaurant. At this point when she came to take our orders , we asked how long would it take to get food. She informed us there were only two people in the kitchen, so it would take a little longer. When asked what a little longer meant, she disappeared. At that point we made a group decision to leave and go to Dobbers Restaurant back in Eufaula. Needless to say, it was a very disappointing evening and a complete failure for this "State...
