I have referred SO many people to this bakery for many things and I always get things for teachers, my own baking needs and holiday items. I will never shop here again. The owner was so rude to me after I had ordered customized cookies. Upon picking them up and inspecting them I was very disappointed. They looked horrible and like someone who has never decorated a cookie before did them. I have seen first hand what this company is capable of artistry wise and this was not even close to being ok. When I let her know and asked her to just redo part of the order she was extremely unprofessional and told me that what I saw on the cookies was normal..yikes. I actually had to go buy my own icing paint and spent 3 hours painting the other dozen of cookies that were far off from what I asked for. She did end up refunding but her customer service was beyond unacceptable in my opinion. ALSO, I ended up taking them to the bridal shower where I noticed people would take one bite and throw the rest of cookie away so I decided to try it and they tasted terrible. I dont understand. This shop is great! I've honestly never experienced customer service that was so friendly, personalized and welcoming! I came in thinking I knew what I needed to make some cream cheese mints for my mom's memorial service. Boy was I wrong, I had no clue what I needed!

The owner let me peruse by myself for a while, but was right there when I realized I needed help. We collaborated on what we thought would work best, and came up with an awesome solution and everything I needed not only to make the mints, but to present them at the service as well (I'd never have thought of that part!!)!

Oh, and the gluten friendly cookies are 10/10 would...

My wife ordered a cake for my birthday party, and paid $50 plus tax. When we picked up the cake, we noticed that it was extremely heavy, which struck us as odd. The cake was decorated beautifully, but when we cut into the cake to serve our guests, we found that is was a light brown color (not white as ordered) and, importantly, it was EXTREMELY dense! Almost like a dried out pound cake. None of our guests could eat more than a bite or two (trying to be kind about it). We are extremely dissatisfied and embarrassed. We should have paid half the price at HyVees and avoided the disappointment and...
