Hitching Post Inn — Restaurant in Oliver Township

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with family for the lions game and some food. And what an abysmal experience it was. Besides the decent atmosphere and the drink specials nothing else positive to say. Food was tasteless and cold. Coney dog was so cold we asked to reheat it and were responded with “yea i guess i can reheat it in the microwave but not sure what to tell you thats all i can do” How about remake it?

5 minutes later we got it back microwaved with nothing said just walked away. Coney dog sauce was awful.

One of the chicken dinners was forgot about when ordering and after waiting 30 minutes when 3-4 of us finished our dinner they had it "to go" to eat it at home and we STILL got charged for it, the least they could’ve done. Couldn’t even write off a ten dollar dinner that they made the mistake on and one person couldn’t even eat with us. But they didn’t miss much because chicken was okay it just existed but the mashed potatoes and gravy were disgusting and cold, tasted fake, lumpy, and had flavorless gravy. Threw it out when we got home.

“Come try us again” that was laughable, absolutely no chance. Overall 0/10 recommend would never come back. Spend your money...

Awful, awful, awful! My husband and I used to travel here from Bay City frequently because we like the food. Well the portions have been cut in about half. From my understanding there is new management. Well the manager is also a bartender, she is a God-awful wench. She has absolutly NO experience managing and it shows! She never smiles or makes conversation, and often she can be heard complaining and whining to customers. They better get rid of the manager, Janell before she ruins the place.. too bad they can't bring back the two woman cooks. Don't know what happened, they were both there last month and yesterday when we went in neither of them even work there anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if they left due to Janell. They replaced the good cooks with a young kid and a greasy disgusting man that I have seen drunk in the bar multiple...

I went there 10/04/2022 & around 5:30 pm. Food was good, beer was cold, & the prices were fair. The service on the other hand, suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked. I sat there 10 minutes waiting on another beer. when I was finally checked on. I said no just the check please. Which resulted in another 5 minutes having to wait for it. After receiving it, she walked away & didn't take money or a card for another 5. The place wasn't very busy. I can go into greater detail, by why ? I just won't...
