We booked Hyde's for a corporate event and unfortunately did not have a good experience. After previously signing a contract, I reached out to confirm 2 weeks before the event and after multiple messages (which I could see were read) I was advised they would call and they never did. The day before the event I contacted Falconwood (event location) to see if they had a food option since my food truck ghosted me via message and was not answering my call. The owner of Falconwood (not me-their customer) somehow contacted them and Hyde's finally called me and told me earlier in the week their truck caught fire but they could set up a food tent, which was fine. I am not convinced he would ever have even contacted me if Falconwood hadn't had a relationship with him and reached out. The next day, the day of the event (today) they called and advised they were not coming and were instead sending another foodtruck, but didn't know the name. He said he would call me back to advise the name of the truck he found to come, which he never did, and again did not answer my call. At this point we are wondering if we will even have food at our drive in movie event. Falconwood was again, somehow able to get a hold of someone to confirm a truck was coming and thankfully El Husker showed up and saved the day. Unfortunately when we went to pay, we were advised Hyde's told them a higher minimum purchase than we had discussed (both via phone TODAY and via signed contract when originally booked). I have heard great things about their food but the customer service and communication was absolutely terrible. Would not recommend if you want reliable communication and peace of mind. Also, to be clear, the lack of communication began prior to the fire causing damage to the truck, when weeks prior there was no response to my request for confirmation via (read) message and no answer when I called multiple times trying to confirm plans. My complaint is not that they didn't come, but that I had to stress out not knowing what was going on or if we would even have food for an event full of people, due to complete lack of communication on their part. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because he did find a replacement which I am...
Read moreWOW. What a cool place. Let's be honest it is unassuming on the outside but totally delicious on the inside. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and welcoming. It says a lot when people have their own corner marked at the bar...love it. You order drinks at bar and food at the grill. We settled on the surf n turf loaded fries and Stormy recommended the Lancer burger which also comes with fries. JEEZ was this food amazing. The fries are fluffy on the inside and crispy outside. They held up so well to the mountain of goodness loaded on them. The garlic aoli sauce was freaking outstanding. I could order a bucket of that. Plus Stormey makes the sauce in house soooo good. The burger. Everything you want in a smash burger the flavor was amazing the bun super soft and it melts in your mouth with every bite. Look if you are a bar food fanatic this is definitely the place. We have found that the classic dive bar as we know it is limited in the Omaha area. We are here from st louis / southern IL area and dive bars are our favorite. This hit home. Not to mention the best ranch I have had in this area. SO IF YOUR LOOKING FOR COLD BEER AND HOT HOMEMADE FOOD....Get in here. This place is hitting all the happy feels with out hitting the wallet. Prices are good serving are ample. Kids are welcome as well until 9pm. Trust me they will love the burger and fries. THANKS Stormy you were such a pleasure to chat with and your...
Read moreI am unsure of where to leave this review as I did not go to the brick and mortar store, but hired the food truck. It was the small purple 'food truck' (it was a trailer pulled by a Uhaul).
Here is my experience:
First: They showed up without cheese. How does this happen to a burger truck truck?? We were told that "the cheese is on its way". Okay.
Second: Just meat and onions. No other options to add to your burger. Not the biggest deal, but disappointing.
Third, and the most important: NO GLOVES ON ANYONE WORKING. The guy making burgers throwing the balls of meat up in thr air and catching them, no gloves. The dude throwing buns on burgers then wiping his hands on his dirty shirt, no gloves. Not a glove in sight.
Overall a very disappointing experience, as I've heard great things about this establishment. I still look forward to coming to...
