Istanbul Food Court — Restaurant in Omaha

I visited this restaurant when it was in Mall of the Bluffs, and now in it's new location. It just keeps getting better and better. Since moving to the new location, they've expanded the menu, keeping some of the items from the previous owners. This made Istanbul Food Court even better in my opinion, because it opened more options of a different variety for the rest of the family. Now for the food. Everything is surprisingly good. I've had the salmon, gyro burger, philly, broccoli beef, sesame chicken, ribeye, Adana kebap, and chicken kebap. Most I've had more than once. I've never been disappointed. The place is clean, the service is very good, and the food is delicious. My personal star of the show are the desserts. Highly recommend the rice pudding. I buy multiple every time I go ("for the family"). Great job...

Best falafel sandwich in Council Bluffs! It's a little off the beaten path being inside the mall of the bluffs, which has sadly been dead for some time. They are still a viable option for carry out. Everything I have tried there is good. One of the few places in Council Bluffs that you can have a meatless meal without feeling like you missed out on something. Of course they have good burgers and gyros too. I almost forgot to mention the baklava which is outstanding! Very happy they chose the spot they did. The only other options in the area are unhealthy fast food.

Update: Had their Philly. Amazing. Best I have ever had. I have also really enjoyed the falafel wrap, which isn't on their menu but they will make it.

Later update: Sadly the mall in Council Bluffs no longer exists. I haven't been to istanbul's...

We've driven by here more times than I can count but never stopped; so glad that changed today. We walked in and were very pleased right off the bat by how clean things were and a very pleasant aroma. Our food was delivered to our table fast and piping hot. My husband and I both greatly enjoyed our gyros and the seasoned fries were yummy, hot and crisp.. There were a number of Middle Eastern foods to choose from; the only Chinese food was chicken or shrimp fried rice. They also offered burgers, phillys, grilled steak and grilled salmon.
