So excited to have this new bagel shop and brunchette in the Field Club neighborhood! The food is fantastic — the bagels are fresh, the sandwiches are creative, and there’s truly something for everyone. I’m biased, but you should definitely get The Karla. I’ve seen some comments about the staff not being welcoming, but I’ve never found that to be the case. They’re busy — there’s usually a line to the door (which tells you something!) — but they’re efficient, friendly, and get your food out quickly. As an adult I’m also not expecting anyone to fawn over me or walk me through the menu; they’re focused on keeping things moving so we can all enjoy our food without a long wait. Prices are exactly what I’d expect for a small local shop making everything from scratch. It’s such a treat to have this kind of quality and care in the neighborhood. I can’t wait to keep coming back and working my way through the menu!

After a couple of visits, I can confidently say that the food is very good, and the space itself is quite pleasant. As a resident of the neighborhood, I truly want to see this place thrive. One thing that keeps me coming back to any local business is a sense of being welcomed and appreciated as a customer. As a new establishment, this is a great opportunity to build connections with the local community and foster a warm, engaging atmosphere. A little more attentiveness from front of house, something as simple as a friendly greeting or a bit of enthusiasm, could really enhance the overall experience. I believe that with a little time, the hospitality will match the quality of the food and help turn first-time customers into loyal regulars.

It’s on the pricier side, but for the quality I would say it matches. The strawberry matcha. Surprisingly, good and I think they focus well on curating good quality drinks. Pigeon fries were also good. I say on the saltier side. Suggestions, would be having the menu more accessible by the door. I felt rushed a bit looking through the menu cause all the menus were at the register and hard to grab with a full line of people. Also, the soda options limited. I’m not a probiotic drink gal, but I think people would be interested as well to buy say coke related product cans. Unless, that day it was just really low on stock.

We got there a little later than we were hoping and they were down to only three bagel flavors, but I ordered the Karla on a salted rosemary bagel and wowwww. It’s basically a ham and cheese sandwich but the ham is thick cut and smoked and paired with havarti and a sweet Dijon sauce. I would say the sauce is what made the sandwich special, but that wouldn’t be fair to the bagel which was crisp on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. I also got an iced mocha before we left and that was great too. You can tell they use good chocolate in their syrup which made it feel like an indulgent post-lunch treat. Ultimately an awesome first experience at Know Good and I look forward to making this spot a part...
