This place is always moderately busy, but I've never seen it packed.
The food is great, and served fairly quickly in my experience! The drinks seem to be a bit more of an afterthought.
We ordered beers from their small offering of cold and yellow domestics and various Asian brands. A few minutes later, the sever came around to take orders and I reminded her we were waiting on them. Then the soup was delivered. About 3 min later we got the beers. Would have ordered at least one more mid-meal, adding maybe $40 to the tab, but no one wanted to wait on them.
It's a cool place... nice interior and simple yet tasteful art with lots of space. The upper area with the cool ceiling is interesting!
The only thing that detracts from the atmosphere is the fact that there is an older couple (owners?) constantly moving around and calling out to each other over the heads of the patrons and shoving dishes onto the table as soon as they are done even if someone elses isn't going to be ready for a while... I have no idea, but it feels a bit like owners awkwardly filling in for the staff that arent there for whatever reason. Would make sense or even be super endearing in a cafe style or quick service place, but this is a nice sit down restaurant. It causes a bit of cognitive dissonance given the juxtaposition of a nice bar and fancy lighting while the equivalent of a deli counter is happening near the...
Read moreLast night I had one of the worst eating out experience of my adult life, and I am old. Having some family in town for the holidays, we decided to try Pan Asian Terrace. There were four people in our party. We ordered 2 different appetizers; they came out okay, then we all ordered an entree The first three entrees came out at different times but within 5 minutes. of each other. I waited 20 minutes from when the last entree being delivered before complaining to our waitress, and asking for the manager. The others in my party were finishing their meals. I was told by our waitress that the kitchen had lost my ticket, and did not prepare my dish. Still asking for the manager, I was told by the same waitress that the ticket had blown away, but assured me that my order was now being processed in the kitchen. Once more, I requested to see the manager, and was told that my meal was delivered to the table. After returning to the table, I was told the manager was too busy to talk to me. Remarkably, they were able to find my ticket, and I was charged full price for all 4 meals and was never able to speak to management. CAUTION: If you go to Pan Asian Terrace, the food is good, but the experiance has it's draw backs. If the management reads this review, I will bet this is the first time management know about my lost, blown away, recovered ticket.

Read moreVery disappointed with our experience tonight. Wanted to try this restaurant for something fun on a holiday weekend. My husband's pho was cold (refrigerated cold) was told that it is packaged that way because of the weather being so hot that it goes bad quick. That is certainly concerning that it is believed the short time spent in a car (carry out) that the soup will go bad. Any hotel guest or out of towner who does not have a way to heat the soup would have been incredibly put out to find their soup was freezing cold unable to heat the raw meat given to prepare their soup. Our noodle dishes were also cold which we didn't understand why a hot dish was so freezing cold. A very argumentative owner was offended why I suggested our food was cold. I finally deducted that it was cold because he had probably packaged it near our hot food causing it to lower in temperature fast because of how cold the plastic soup container was. We spent $83 and after a honest dialogue we received a, "Yeah, sorry about that." I understand that things happen and maybe they should have explained that the soup is sent out cold. But, I think it's always prudent for a small business owner to always offer to make it right. We wouldn't have asked for any refunds. But, we will not be returning which is the most important aspect of a new customer prospect for any business....
