Coulee Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Onalaska

Came here with my wife and 2 kids, 11 and 4, to take my youngest boy bowling for the first time. We were all very excited not only to bowl but to check out the establishment as we had never been. Our excitement soon turned to disappointment because of tournaments going on that day. Not only here but the whole area, I should have checked before hand. Oh well, no biggy, it was ok. What was not ok was the way the staff treated the situation. As I walked up to the counter I could immediately sense the gentleman behind the counter was bothered by our presence. No smile, no how are you, just a frown and "Do you have a reservation?" I said no. He says, "Let me get someone who can help you." Already I was unimpressed by the service but then the woman comes out and makes a bad vibe even worse with " You guys can bowl but you have to be out of here by 11." As it was clear they didn't want us there i just said that we will go elsewhere and that is exactly what I will do every time in the future also. Disappointing considering all the great reviews but your not getting one here. Just a tip, brush up on your customer...

I have been a loyal patron of Coulee bar and grill for several years I’d say… always appreciating the quality and consistency of their bar food; just overall solid. It saddens me to write this review, but my family’s most recent visit was deeply disappointing, a stark contrast to our previous experiences, and simply unacceptable.

The quality of food has noticeably declined. The cheese on our dishes was unmelted, a basic expectation in any well-prepared meal. The chicken, which used to be a favorite, was excessively battered and remarkably dry, making it difficult to enjoy. The burger, another staple we looked forward to, was overdone to the point of being unpalatable. The only redeeming item was the cheese curds.

This experience has unfortunately turned us away from what was once a family favorite. I hope this feedback serves as a constructive observation and that this place can return to the high standard we had always known and cherished. Until then, we find ourselves...

have been there several times.......went last week....ordered a reg pizza and a taco pizza..we waited almost an hour for our food...when the food finally came...both pizzas were burned.....(the crust was actually black)....our waitress was very nice....she took them back and said they would replace them......we stated we would take a taco pizza home and they could skip the other pizza.....another waitress (not ours) felt she had to intervene and copped an attitude...she took one of the pizzas over to the manager and she pointed us out to him.....I then spoke to the manager and asked if there was a problem...the manager was very understanding...as was our waitress....the intruding waitress ...who has been there for quite some time....soured us on the place.....there are too many good restaurants in the area...Coulee's service and quality has been slipping...we won't return...
