Bojangles — Restaurant in Onancock

We had been wanting to try Bojangles famous chicken ever since we had seen it on trips down to VA Beach VA. We were able to stop on our latest trip. When we arrived we walked in and found a long line waiting for food. it seems as though this is the method in which the line and food pick up is conducted. you order and then wait in a cattle shot style line up. as a Food service professional i can discern levels of business to just bad planning i think we encountered both here. the problem seemed to stem from a product called the tailgate box or something to that effect. it is their largest box for a large group. i think there were multiple of those ordered at once and the staff was not ready for it. I do give credit to the staff I think they kept their cool through a busy time full of customers. when the line dissipated they seemed to be able to get back into form.

The Chicken was OK in my opinion just fast food chicken at best. the biscuits were equally OK. Not really worth the wait.

I found that overall if you're hungry you can stop in but I stopped in and I found that the food had no taste like it was just plain and I ate there before the pandemic and the food was great used to eat there for lunch as much as I could but now I stay away everything has no taste the biscuits the chicken and even got a little bit smaller no one wants to do the same thing they did before the pandemic even though it really doesn't cost anymore it's just people are greedy. Whatever staff was let go before or after the pandemic that was actually cooking the food y'all need to get them back. If you need something to eat and they are the only ones open I recommend it because you have to but if you can go somewhere else I do. And again whoever was cooking the food before the pandemic y'all need to rehire because if the food tastes like it did to me to other people y'all are losing a lot of service bring the old...

We were on our way from New Jersey back to North Carolina, and this Bojangles location is right around the Chesapeake Bay Bridge area. I got the 12 piece Bo Bites meal with the house-made ranch and the mashed potatoes and gravy side. For my drink, I just got water. When we were there, the fountain was only letting out water and no other drinks, but I was going to get water anyway so it did not impact me. The service was nice and we ate inside because we wanted to take a break from being in the car. I should have ordered the 9 piece, as the 12 piece is very filling. The mashed potatoes and gravy were nice, and the chicken went well with it, too. The Bojangles locations near us do not have Bo Bites, but it has become one of my favorite menu items, so I am really glad that we were able to...
