Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Opelika

The lady in the Drive-Thru had a super bad attitude, I asked you my order and said it was my first time here and when she said what I like to drink I said I would like Barq's root beer, she said what is that I said the root beer she was like she don't know what that is I said root beer is right here in the menu, then she said I don't think we have that pull up to the window, I said okay and pull up to the window and proceeded to ask me again what that was and she don't know what it was and that they don't have it there I looked in the window and said it's right there on the machine, now mind you I never met this one before I never been to this store before so why was I getting this type of response once I realized she was giving me a hard time I just said forget it and give me a Sprite. But my conscience won't let me let it go so the next day I came back and I walked in this time and I asked a different lady when I got my combo for the same drink and she got it right away no problem I saw the other lady that gave me a hard time in the back this time she was on the grill I understand what was the purpose of all that commotion...

The food was really good and I didn't have to wait long for the order. The only complaint I have is that when I pulled up to order I was told that they didn't have and she listed several menu items. I didn't have a problem with the fact that the items were not available and wouldn't have if I had planned on ordering any of the items in the first place. The only problem is the way it was said. Very rude and with an attitude like I was bothering them for being there. That's the reason for losing the star rating. I understand that it had probably been frustrating having to tell customers that the items were not available and it may not have been intentional or recognized as being rude. I will eat here again and based on the taste and quality of the food would recommend to anyone who is interested in eating our. Employees have bad days and we all are capable of coming off with an attitude so not going to judge on one experience. Whoever was working drive thru on Friday I hope your day got much better and things...

Let me start by saying that the location on Foxrun Pkwy in Opelika,Al. Use to have what seemed to be some nice, kind, some what energetic & enthusiastic people working there. I don't know what happened between June '23 and the last few times I have stopped here in the last 3 to 4 months. But every time I stop here now the employees seem to be short and some what brash. And it has become worse than McDonald's and that's sad. "The Ice Cream Machine Is Broken!" That is the story I have been getting at this location for the past two to two and half months. Come on people did you transfer there from McDonald's and bring your B.S. story abouth the icecream machine being broken with you?
