Yabo's Tacos — Restaurant in Orange Township

THIS PLACE IS BOMB!!!! I will shout it in the streets! We had a small group of 5 and sat on the covered patio. We ordered several items. Started with the deep fried pickles with the delicious dip. Next we got into the tacos. The smash burger taco is so delicious 😋. Flavorful, juicy and immaculate. We also tried the Cubano. Ham, pork, slaw and some sloppy delicious sauce on it. Tandoori chicken taco had indian seasonings, (a little spicy) and fresh cubed cucumbers. Italian taco was so good too. Everything you would get on an Italian sub on a taco. We had to try a mini taco too so we tried the bacon taco. The bacon was so smokey, lettuce, cheese, and I added sour cream. Oak barrel steak taco was a messy blessing. Sweet and saucy stuffed full of steak and cheese. Well we had to get the buffalo chicken quesadilla. It wasn't too spicy but the flavor was good. It was a good size meal. My daughter couldn't finish it. We also had to try the queso mac and cheese so we ordered the kids helping. You get a side order with it. We got the chips and queso. The tortilla chips have a seasoning on them that really sets there chips apart from others. One of the girls ordered the massive. I didnt get to taste it but it came on a huge plate and filled it. She could only eat half. The other friend got the large queso mac and cheese with chicken peppers and onions. It's so creamy and again a seasoning on the chicken add a unique flavor. All delicious! Next we had dessert strawberry cheese cake empanada. Such a deep fried sugar cinnamon treat. The center had the melty cheesecake center with a bit of strawberry. Then the oreo churros with their oreo cream filling. I will be back. Most tacos are 5.99 and the other meals are 10.00. Desserts 6 and 7 average. Kids meals around 6. I will admit it’s been a while since I ate at a Yabos’s Tacos and that was the Westerville location. Today we went for a late lunch at the Evans Farms location and I was 100% disappointed. The server from the bar was pleasant enough, but we were essentially abandoned after our food arrived at the table. About that food. I don’t think I’ve ever had worse food in a restaurant before in my life. I ordered a birria taco and a shrimp street corn taco, both $5.99 each, and they were tiny, tasteless, and completely absent of any care in their making. My birria taco Ingredients for flavorless and the broth was greasy and lacked any actual Birria style flavor. My shrimp taco had approximately two pieces of shrimp and again was lacking any real flavor profile. I left a little less than half of each taco in my basket and called it a day. Couldn’t finish either one. My 17 year old son I can’t keep full, got the California burrito and left half In his basket untouched. My stepfather Did get the chimichanga with pork and took half of his to go. Said it was OK. We also got the chips with the trio dips As well. Not a fan of the Dorito inspired chips, and the three dips, guacamole, queso, and salsa, were about three on a scale of 10. Since I can really only speak to my food, Yabos should definitely leave the “designer taco “business to Condado or Torchy’s Tacos, Neither of which is really that great either but definitely better than a two out of five stars. Overall, I don’t think we’ll be going back. Below average service, tasteless food, extremely small tacos at $6 each, and staff who seems more interested in hanging out at the bar than actually working the restaurant just isn’t a great combination to encourage...

My family and I had a great experience here. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The man who I believe was the cook even made his appearance by checking on us as he served another guest. I thought it was nice being able to order quickly via phone! I live for convenience!! And it was easy to understand. I do think it can be difficult when trying to add extra meat if you don’t common sense it (just adding the extra to the special note section). The food was fresh and came out quickly! The chips were seasoned to perfection!! A plus for that!! Guacamole could have been better. I had grilled shrimp and fish tacos and they were good. The chicken bowl with added shrimp was delicious! It wasn’t busy at all when we came in so that could be why but it’s appreciated always! I’d love to come back on a busy day to see how the service flows. I made the mistake in overlooking all that came with my tacos so don’t forget to read all you’re getting! I just would have added sour cream. They have salsa sauces on the tables ready to choose from. The bartender was very pleasant and gave our daughters stuffed animals. The ladies restroom came with some tampons and pads which I thought was such a special touch. Not many if any restaurants do this. Appreciated. You NEED an electric device in order to place your food order!! If you’re anything like me you’ll appreciate being able to order without waiting for a server. Get with the future people!!
