Pure Bliss Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Oregon City

Drive slow, or you’ll miss this “not to be missed” bakery and cafe! This mother & daughter run place is like taking a step back in time the way things used to be.

You get greeted when you walk in. If you’re a regular, you’ll get greeted by name. Whoever’s at the counter actually wants to take care of you. The pastries and coffee are made fresh and they are dELiCiOus!

I love how the variety of different kinds of scones and rolls change from time to time. If you have a particular favorite though, get there early because when they’re gone, they’re gone! I thought I was going to have to fight an elderly lady for a Lemon Poppyseed scone. Fortunately, there were enough for each of to have one. Nobody had to get hurt that day.

Pure Bliss Bakery & Cafe is definitely a must visit. If you’re anywhere in the Portland area, it’s worth the beautiful drive out to Oregon City. This is not your run of the mill coffee house. the owners are incredibly friendly and accomidating aswell as just so wholesome and the shop always manages to give off a homey feeling the drinks are very good and made with care and the food and sweets they make are so delicious with different options every day and their sandwiches are to die for although you may have to wait a little bit since they make it fresh for you but the wait isnt too long the not to mention the prices arent gonna hurt the wallet too much the shop also sells some other items from outside vendors if im understanding correctly overall this cafe is a wonderful place and has become a favorite of mine aswell as my fiance i reccomend this place to anyone...

So not one of my usual fancy food shots but this is what you get when everything was soooo good the only thing left was the cookie I saved or my flight home to Vermont. And yes, this was the best part of the entire trip home, just wish I'd been smart enough to buy two. If I lived in the area of Pure Bliss at 18946 So. Central Point Rd in Oregon City Oregon, I would make this little cafe/bakery a regular stop. I didn't try the coffee though it looked like there were a lot of folk there who were indulging, I just missed the last savory treat so I would suggest going early to make sure you get your choice of the daily fresh baked goods.
