So, let us tell you a story. We have a friend that proclaimed the best quesabarria tacos in the world were in Hood River. We had em, they were allright, no dip. Fast forward a few months, we stumble into Don Chuys right after it opens. After the first bite of their quesabarria tacos (with dip no less, offered not requested) we realized that our “friend” was wrong, the best tacos on this earth are next to a plaid pantry in OC. Service is amazing. Food is incredible. We count our lucky stars we are nearby to Don Chuys and curse our “friend” for ever telling us there was such a thing as a better quesabarria. Long live Don Chuys.

A friend and family memebers told me to avoid this place, but i knew they were wrong. The place was clean, the salsa bar made me happy, and the service was abrupt, unfriendly, but fast. I ordered two hard shell tacos with rice and beans. This was my first mistake, seeing the rolled tacos are fried nicely i should not have assumed they also fry the tortillas for tacos. I was really craving a nice fried shell, as they call themselves authentic. Sadly i should have gone to Taco bell, i cant stand the taco shells that are broken before you get them. The beef was greasy and runny and upset my tummy. The chicken was quality but lacked flavor, so much lettuce and not much else. I left most of my meal. It will be a while before...
