Juniper Junction — Restaurant in Oregon

Awesome rock shop plus ice cream shop (and also a shop for other fantastic goodies for hiking, rock climbing and miscellaneous souvenirs). This store sells Oregon thunder eggs (we got one!). They are similar to geodes but formed in rhyolitic volcanic ash layers. The interior of a thunder egg is fascinating since there's no one alike. The owner is so kind, attentive and well versed in the history of this shop that you may enjoy chatting a while! Did I mention the ice cream? It's really good (raspberry/coconut milk is my favorite).
