McShanes Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Oregon

I would not even rate them as a 1. Several months ago, we went there with some friends, the service was lousy, it took 1 and 1/2 hours to get our food and then the food was cold. There was no waitress to say something, so we couldn't say something to her, so when we went to pay our bill, we told the cashier. He said, why didn't you tell the waitress, we said there wasn't one. I told him what happened. My friends said the same thing to him, he replied, you can always go somewhere else. We thought we would give them another try, so we went there last night, we sat down and within a few minutes a man by the name of Forrest came up to us and said that we are not welcome there cuz of the complaints we made last time. Have visited McShanes on a few occasions and have always enjoyed myself. The bartenders are always friendly and attentive... as much as possible depending on how busy it is inside. Their patrons may be bikers (at least when I've been in, in the company of bikers myself) but I've never seen anyone having anything but a good time. The garlic fries are awesome, the Fireball shots tasty, and the good Irish fare well worth stopping in for. I came in one St Patrick's Day and the joint was jumping.

Visited for first time today. Very pleased. Wife ordered pulled pork nachos. Big enough to satisfy 4 people. Prices reasonable. Friendly staff. Second visit, not so good. In fact it was terrible. After making eye contact with bartender we took a seat. 10 minutes later my wife fetched our menues. 5 minutes later still no show for server. I guess she was busy flirting with the bar grown , all five of them ! She never came by our table not once in 22 minutes. I'm a patient guy but that was ridiculous. We left and will never return.
