I ate there months ago and had there beef sandwich and a hot dog. The beef sandwich was week, did not have enough beef on it. Everyone loves hot dogs and was really hoping for a good hot dog place in the south suburbs. One of the actual hot dogs was fine while the other seemed to be cooked to long. All the dogs were really lacking in condiments, maybe that is why they are cheaper. The dogs seemed like they were just thrown together, had to kinda rearrange the dog then add my own condiments. One dog will have 1 pepper and the other will have 2 , no consistency in the dogs. The other posts are correct about the fries, the bees, bugs. Everyone was sweating because the place was to hot, the should at least get the cooks some air conditioning so they are not wiping their sweat while making food. I added another post from someone else which is below, i agree with what they are saying, the cooks really dont care and it show in their prep of the food.
First time here. I really wanted to like this place, from all the good reviews I've read. Just got home with my breaded steak sandwich on garlic bread, with sweet peppers. The sandwich wasn't on garlic bread, (which I paid for) didn't have any peppers and the mozzarella cheese was a little blob in the middle of the sandwich. I don't like writing bad reviews, but the owner needs to see this, I know this place is better then this, but the people working tonight, I...
Read moreMy husband stopped into Joey’s for lunch with his co-workers and was pleasantly greeted by the owner. He Loved the pizza and couldn’t wait to have me try it :) We have been on a hunt for a good pie the past two years and haven’t found anything that really wow’d us. Not only is Joey’s pizza incredible affordable but the quality is apparent as soon as you look at your pizza. It’s not super greasy. The cheese is a good solid color, crust is wonderful! It’s salty with a touch of sweetness. Love it! And the sauce is thankfully Not over seasoned like most. It has good flavor! Sausage taste homemade not out of a bag. And I personally had pepperoni and giardinera on my side and it was friggin awesome!
We order a big giant pizza with 3 toppings and A big giant bag of fries (1.99) and our bill was 25.00! That’s an great price for a very successful pizza din din!
They offer 14” and 18” pizzas I believe they start and 8 and 15 dollars. That’s cheap for yummy pizza!!! While stuffing our faces we checked out their menu and noticed they had a ton of yummy items that were definitely the lowest prices we’ve seen yet. Gelato Italian ice and they cater!
All I know is - we’ll be ordering our pizza from Joey’s from this day forward!!
Excellent job guys!!!! And thanks for finally putting our search for a good pie - to an end!!!!!!

Read moreIgnore the Karen's worrying about facemasks. Mask or no Mask, you're going to risk your health going outside anyways, the virus is airborne, meaning it can also infect you via cuts, eyes, and ears. Mask are just a small preventative measure.
These people have the choice to what place of business they dine at, and shouldn't take their views out on the staff, for a choice I understand, since I use to work in a hot kitchen. These "Karen's" probably have no concept as to what it is like to work in said hot kitchen, that can get above 110 degrees on some days, facemasks can make this heat so much worse. Working yourself to death because you are overheated doesn't sound any better than COVID-19.
As for my main review: It was my first time here, EVERYONE was wearing masks, the cashier was very friendly, and my two hot-dogs were up in about a minute and thirty seconds. These hotdogs are very sweet, served on a fluffy sesame bun. You could eat these hotdogs plain and enjoy them, the toppings are quite literally, the cherry on top. The fries also tasted fresh, you could tell they were once potatoes, they quite literally tasted like a crispier baked potato. For classic Chicago-style fast food, I'd check this place out. Simple,...
