Stopped by to try the tacos, smelled good from outside. Ill start with the good things. Place is colorful, friendly enough service and they have a salsa bar. There was a long delay between each person in our party getting food. First served was finished eating by the time the last in party got their food. I dont mind a wait for freshly prepared food but the lengua was a little soggy, a little cold and tasted off. I get it lengua can be hit or miss. The asada taco was also a little cold as well and had a lot of gristle in it. Wish the cook would have at least refried the meat a little more before throwing it on a tortilla. Taqueria Don Sammy is not much on appearance, but the staff were very friendly, the asada tacos were delicious, and prices were inexpensive.
Dining is limited to only a handful of tables with a few more outside, and most were taken. I opted for takeout.
There are several homemade salsas and toppings to chose from (six or more). I tried four, and liked them all.
