Last nigh me and my parental units shared a meal at Uncle Chongs restaurant and had a wonderfull experience. It was birthday celebration dinner and as he sometimes does, the owner came out from the kitchen to visit with us and make sure we were enjoying our food (which we were). I had the spicy boiled wontons ( highly recommend) which were "spicy", and I say that because when I ordered them the waitress asked of I wanted them extra spicy or just spicy, and if your a fire eater like me I recommend ordering them "spicy" not extra spicy. The food was very good and the service was fast. It had a very nice atmosphere and lots of things to pick from. I arrived later than the rest of my party and my waitress was very friendly and helpful and not annoyed by my late arrival. We also had a kid with us and the waitress gave her a lollipop, overheard us talking about the brother and gave us a second one for her brother that couldn't come. We were on our way to Lassen Volcanic National Park and decided to stop in Orland for lunch, and we’re so glad we found Uncle Chong’s Restaurant. The food was so good I completely forgot to take pictures. Everything tasted freshly made, flavorful, and comforting, just like home style cooking at its best.

The restaurant is clean and cozy with friendly service and a charming nostalgic vibe. Highly recommend this place if you’re driving through the area or anywhere nearby. We will definitely be back the next time we’re heading...
