07/25/2023 updating from last time. Ordered food and was very disappointed. Ordered 2 chicken Enchiladas and one relino, and the reno was supposed to have cheese in it. I ended up with one cheese enchilada and two relino. I only pray my husband's beef enchiladas and 2 relinos are what they are supposed to be. I also ordered 4 street tacos, and it's just a very small taco salad. Also, I paid 5 dollar tip to pick up my own food. The cost of all my food was 35 dollars plus tip. Nope, I don't think I will try this again. The bill that's pictured is for the second try. 05/ 2023 I am updating my review. Food has improved since last time we were there. I am including pictures of the inside of La Castia. Service was great this time. The prices are very reasonable.

The food here is very delicious. And very reasonably priced! The tortillas appear to be freshly made. The chips are nice and thin and crispy. The salsa is good, too. I had the enchiladas con chipotle and it was very good, yet a bit spicy and tasted made from scratch. My picky 8-year old had the kids beef taco and even he said it was good. In fact, he just said, “this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. They should build one of these in Springfield (where we’re from).” Sorry about the photo, I ate it too quickly.

Great new restaurant in Osceola! Chicken fajitas are great(as well as the fajita nachos & burrito), pork enchiladas verde great too as are the tamales (Tuesday only special). Full bar with a Levi Garrison brewery beer on tap, as well as 7 other domestic & Mexican. Margaritas are good too, especially the spicy one.

On the Square in Osceola, MO. Painting on the walls are of the old Damn and the stagecoach and horse. It is beautiful inside.

The LaCasita Mexican Restaurant has delicious choices of food.

The owners and staff are friendly and respectful.

I would recommend this restaurant as a No. 1 place to eat.

There is a haunted hotel that has been there since Jesse James on the S W Corner of the Square.

On Saturday night at the Gazebo their are Country Western Singers. The Weekend September 2 there is a Rodeo and Country Music. It is loads of fun.

This weekend starting Saturday 9/25 just 13 miles South of Osceola there in Collins there is an Antique Vehicle Show and a Pie Festival. They last all day There are several booths with home made items that the people have made to sell.

Come visit the Country and enjoy the People and eat...

This is An EXCEPTIONAL example of Mexican food that doesn't compromise quality and authenticity for the sake of placating local clientele. So often in small town Mexican restaurants you see plate after plate of toned down food smothered in low grade melted cheese. This place has wonderful, fresh food that is still approachable. It also happens to be in an adorable historic building. They have great house margaritas. They have insanely fair prices. And, most of all, the owner is a genuinely nice person who is doing this for the best possible reasons. An absolutely wonderful place that deserves a visit if you are anywhere...
