FAJITAS Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Oskaloosa

Went here for the first time and will not be going back.

When we went to order drinks, the young waitstaff wasn't able to answer any questions about the specialty margaritas we inquired about. Rather than make them go ask someone, we just went with jalapeno margaritas. We asked if we could have them with a premium tequila and (after they went and checked) were told the margs are all pre-mixed and so that wasn't possible. (Premixed WITH the tequila...??) When we got them we were surprised by the dull green jalapenos and the briny flavor and didn't care for them. The elusive manager communicating through the waitstaff apparently claimed they were made with fresh jalapenos, but there was no way they didn't come out of a jar. They said they could bring us new drinks, but that we would still be charged for the first ones, despite the fact that we hadn't touched them beyond the first sip. They were apologetic, but said they were told that "once the drink is poured they have to pay for it."

After getting dubious input when we asked about food recommendations, we decided we didn't want to risk eating there. We choked down part of the margaritas, ate some of the chips, salsa (not very good), and cheese dip (fine), and went...

I have eaten at this place several times, food and service have always been good. Not today! Walked in waiting for someone to offer me a table, but no offer. A gentleman walked by and I asked what the special was for the day, his reply tacos. I said, I'll have 3 beef tacos, he assumed it was for take out. I never said take out! I went and sat down at a dirty table. Never once asked if I wanted Chips and Salsa, I had to ask a male waiter to bring me some and he never did. I asked the same gentleman who took my order if I could have chips and salsa. His reply was your order is to go. No! I'm sitting at your dirty table, desiring chips and salsa, and I finally got so fed up I said make it to go. Paid for meal and ate it in my car. Food was absolutely tasteless! No seasoning of the meat whatsoever and the salsa tasted like tomato sauce. Really disappointed in the service, cleanliness, and food. What I thought was a really good place to eat, and I've told many to go try you'll Love it. I'm now swallowing...

I took my daughter for lunch it was our first time trying this place we ordered the All-Star nachos and it came out with 10 ships filled with beans and cheese and chicken and steak and then add the guacamole and sour cream in the middle chips were soggy and they tasted absolutely horrible we also ordered the two amigos sampler and the chicken quesadilla was so soggy and so greasy that neither one of us ate it the only thing that was good in our meal were the two chicken flautas that we had in the middle of our sampler the rest of it was absolutely horrible does salsa was okay it didn't have much flavor and it was really runny no chunks of anything the chips were greasy and not salted and it took forever we waited 39 minutes to get our food and we couldn't get out of there fast enough because the food was gross and the atmosphere is just not something that we wanted to be in you should definitely not eat here I do not recommend this place...
