Tipsy Ditch Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Ossian

While in Fort Wayne this last week, I was fortunate enough to hit several local spots. One of them was the Tipsy Ditch. Coworker on a work-related trip wanted to stop here for lunch. They have really solid lunch specials. $7 for this burger and fries. I wanted everything on it, because to me having a burger is a special sort of experience, and I usually judge a place by their ability to make one. Super quiet place to stop during a lunch break during the week. Not sure how busy it gets during the weekend though. Server was kind, attentive. Food came out pretty expediently. No complaints....

Food was good but pricey. Breaded mushrooms were very good. Cheese curds were also very good. One kid got grilled chicken salad but just lettuce and chicken and that was pretty expensive for just lettuce and chicken. Two kids got double cheeseburgers. Both liked the burgers but not impressed with curley fries. Wife got chicken bacon ranch baked potato. That is a lot of food and had really good flavor. I got philly cheese and steak. Good flavor but really light on cheese. Also no sauce so i had to add bbq to it. Steak a little dry. I had crinkle fries and they were good. But...

Great service. Bartender greeted us within 30 seconds of sitting down at the bar. Bartender was friendly, willing to talk with us, well informed. Food was really slow, but good. Family owned from what i understood. Restroom needs minor wall repairs, but giving this, once this bar is back 100 percent from covid restrictions, that's an easy fix. I will return.
