I have enjoyed Jake’s in the past but after today, I’m sorry to say I will not be going back. I ordered take out and the waitresses checking me out were horribly rude. They were rolling their eyes and making rude comments. They also messed up my order and over charged me. I was very disappointed with the meal I was given. The salad was abysmal. Only a handful of wilted lettuce and a ridiculously small portion of lobster salad. For $30! There is no way this would have been served to someone dining in the restaurant, and if it had it would have been sent back. Reply: For your information. My dog is a properly trained service dog. From an accredited program. By law she is able to ask what tasks he is trained to perform. I would have been happy to answer as well as provide proof of his training. I was not asked what tasks he is trained to perform, only rudely told he was growling and then asked if he was a service dog, in which she responded I have never seen a service dog growl. I told her that just like all animals. Service dogs make mistakes and have off moments. They are not robots. He was standing by my side on a loose leash and made no moves towards her. He is not perfect. He could tell I was scared because of how she was treating me. And she was being abrasive and staring him down in a very intimidating manor. I know my dog and I know he will not bite. I also am very aware that he does have a tendency to shake when overwhelmed with my emotions. This is not at all a reflection of his training. I weighed the lobster when I got home and it was 2 oz. The salad was supposed to come with tomato and it did not. The lettuce was wilted and parts were brown. Further more no matter what she had no right to be so rude and abrasive to me. It was the worst service experience I...

Full Bar and Outdoor Dining!!!! When we got there the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They had outside dining with the umbrella tables set up 8 ft apart from one another. We were waited on immediately. We started off with the Fried Calamari and Thai Chili Appetizer (I wanted to test their seafood as i am always cautious of Seafood Restaurants) it came out to us within 10 minutes of ordering. The Fried Calamari crust was a beautiful golden yellow hew that told me their fry oil was very clean. When i ate my first bite i could tell right away that the Calamari was fresh and cooked perfectly. The Thai Chili was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Encouraged, my daughter and i ordered the Captain's Combo and my Husband ordered the Creole Burger (he is not a big fan of seafood) needless to say the food came out with the same speed and quality as the Calamari. Usually when i order seafood at a restaurant the seafood is either overcooked, undercooked or a combination of both. The Captain's Combo at Jakes Seafood was cooked to perfection in its entirety. The shrimp was moist and plump, the fish was fresh and flaking and the whole bellied clams where flavorful, creamy and hardly chewy. The Creole Burger was cooked exactly how it was requested. Only downfall was that there was too much creole sauce on the burger for my husband's liking. Our waitress was very cheerful, friendly and very professional. They all wore masks and washed their tables down thoroughly. They did everything to ensure we were happy and safe. Leave a BIG TIP for these girls they work hard. Highly recommend Jakes seafood! WE WILL BE BACK JAKE AND LADIES, THANK YOU FOR...

Yummy Seafood! Great Service

Classic New England seafood in a comfortable setting. However, the best part was the friendly and attentive service.

Ambiance: Interesting layout with several dining areas, including a back "porch" with screens providing a great breeze overlooking a lovely wooded area The decorations are rustic and fun. Plenty of tables. Clean and comfortable

Food: YUMMM! My husband got the Seafood casserole and clam chowder. He gave the chowder thumbs up which is high marks indeed (he is a total chowder connoisseur). He was even more delighted with the huge seafood casserole chock full of fresh yummy seafood and just enough butter and cracker crumbs. I ordered the fried fish and scallop combo. When it was delivered, there were no scallops, but the waitress fixed that quickly. The fish was REALLY good, but the scallops were even better! Steaming hot, perfectly cooked, fish was flakey with a mild flavor and the scallops were sweet and firm. Served with a baked potato (yum) and onion rings. The onion rings had a great flavor BUT (one area for improvement) they were not really hot. But 'cause they were so flavorful and perfectly crunchy, I munched them anyway! LOL

Service: Gretchen was our helpful server. She was patient with our questions and helpful with our selections and delightfully pleasant! And she had help -- different servers came by to check on things, drop things off, etc. It was teamwork in action. All pleasant, and just added to a great experience!

Bottom line: GO! You will be...

Took the family here since we had some gift cards. Only issue we had was service. Had to wave down the waitress to get my water refilled and get the wife's empty beer glass refilled. The food....amazing, The deep fried clams were so tasty. The wife got the maple salmon and that was spectacular. The kids got regular stuff as usual and wouldn't try ours but that's OK, more for us. The unassuming star of the meal was the coleslaw.......best weve had!!! We will be coming back for the food. Hope to try the onion rings and lobster next time.
