Chinese Palace Restaurant — Restaurant in Overland Park

Very Rude Staff.. Will not go here again no matter how much I want Chinese food. I would drive 30 miles somewhere else before eating here.

Stopped in here to grab some take-out , asked for a menu and decided what I wanted and before I could place the order I was told I needed to prepay as she wasn't sure I could afford the meal. I was shocked and asked her to repeat her statement..which she did.. I was wearing dress clothes and pulled up in a nice car, I reached into my pocket and pulled out cash and showed her that yes I can afford to pay for my food.

All I wanted was Pork Broccoli and a Sweet Tea (less than 20.00 max).. Instead I told her that I will take my money and business elsewhere.. Master Wok was right up the road and way better than here...

Maybe they were having a bad day, but i really wanted some Chinese food that day and never have a problem paying for my order, and actually understand them wanting to ring it up right away in case they get busy.. but her comments went way...

Use this place a lot for work lunches. The orders are always correct, always hot, they deliver in a timely maner, very friendly delivery staff. The only negative is that the delivery food can be a little messy from having several orders stacked in a box/bag. I

'm placing a negative on the service because many times when I call another call will come in, they will place me on hold (which is just lying down the phone on the counter), and take a full order on the other call even though I'm in the middle of giving them my order. They do this quite a bit and it gets frustrating, there are times they walk away for several minutes leaving me on "hold" leaving me wondering if they forgot about my call. I've had to hang up and call back and start my order over again. I can hear them taking the orders on the other phone, I can hear them yelling back and forth to staff, I can hear them back in the kitchen yelling...they have great food, just frustrating customer service...

They have roaches!!!!

Soo today is 6-17-22 the time is 12:15 pm...

I am a regular at this place until today!!

I walk in and the lady knows my order off the top of her head because I've been here soo much and i have NEVER EVER seen 1 roach!!!

BUT!.... today was different... i had only been there 10 minutes and i sat on the left side of the restaurant facing the restrooms... with my back to the front door....

The lady comes and sets my food down,, and too my left. I see a roach crawling on the table and i almost Literally threw up!! Before i could take a picture the lady comes over and i ask her "What is that " she looks.. and then smacks it with her "Barehand" right in front of me" Dips her towel in the sanitation bucket and doesn't even change the bucket afterwards....

I Have NEVER EVER been to an establishment that has roaches it is sooo freaking nasty... i will...
