Bru Coffee House — Restaurant in Owasso

The environment is cold and uninviting when a coffee shop is supposed to be warm and comfortable. The coffee itself was not bad but the service was nice but not honest. The first time I went in I asked for a muffin and as I was watching them warm it up, the girl pulled it out of the oven and asked her coworker if she thought it was warm enough and the girl just grabbed the muffin with her hand with no gloves and says yes and walks off. Absolutely terrible. The girl that asked glanced over and seen me watching but still didn't apologize. The second time I went in I wanted to give it another chance so I got a capachino but couldn't help but notice they weren't even using the espresso machine so I asked if there was espresso in it and they said yes and looked over and noticed the machine by the window was some kimd of instant coffee brewer like an oversized kurig. First visit today, was surprised by the type of building (I guess I expected simething more like a Starbuck"s) and almost passed it up -- so glad I didn't!! The young woman who took my order was very friendly and very helpful. I tried the Hawaiian Paradise lotus tea - one of the ones she recommended- and it was SO good. I also tried a breakfast burrito and it was quite good as well; had to let it sit for a while because it was too hot for me to hold but that's much better than getting cold, rubbery eggs. This is my happy place. When I need to treat myself, or start my day off right, I come to Brú. The staff makes an effort to remember my favorites. If I am feeling undecided on what I want, they recommend choices. They have hit the nail on the head every single time. Staff is always in a great mood, smiling, and eager to please. I enjoy the breakfast selections, the treats, and the specialty drinks. They have great pricing.
