Apple Barrel Cafe — Restaurant in Owasso

Worst experience of my life. Our waitress Bernadette walked us all over the restaurant cause she didnt know where to sit us. Then wouldnt leave us alone she must have checked on us 6x within 10 minutes to see if we were ready to order. Then we ordered fried mushroom as an appetizer with ranch we got our side salads first before appetizer I ordered mine with ranch got blue cheese instead. She then proceeds to tell me they are out of ranch. That would be nice to know when ordering. Then shortly after we received our appetizer our food came out. She kept bugging us asking for the sugar and jelly holders so she could fill them up she could have waited til we got done and left to do her closing duties. I use to work at ihop I would have never bugged a customer while they were eating. Then our drinks were empty and my husband had to ask for refills like wth. She goes back to the back comes back smelling like an ash tray and takes our cups and gets us refills but comes back to me and says we are out of tea can I get you something else so I tell her I want Sprite not only 5 minutes later I hear another waitress telling a customer I'm so sorry we have tea making it's almost done I'll bring you your drink in a minute. Why wasnt that an option for me??? My husbands broccoli and cheddar was literally broccoli that was luke warm with a little cheddar cheese sprinkled on it. No flavor to the chicken tenders or onion rings. I have been to the Bixby one multiple times and in fact I use to work there too it's great but this owasso one better get their act together quick or they wont stay in business and for my waitress you need to learn to leave people alone and let then eat their damn food! Dont rush people or interrupt them while they are eating to do your job! I'm so disgusted I will never be back and I will be calling...

First time in, was a Sunday. There was about a 10-15 minute wait before we were seated. Tables were available but I don’t think they were staffed to seat everyone at once. Waitress was friendly. Both myself and my husband ordered omelets with home fries and biscuit and gravy; all included. Our wait wasn’t long for our food to come out. Omelet’s were good and hot and good size, no skimping on veggies or meat, plenty to eat. The home fries were stone cold and the gravy was barely warm that came with the biscuits for both our meals. When the waitress asked if everything was good, we told her the home fries were cold. She informed the manager and the manager came over to inquire about the fries. Again we said they were cold. Manager apologized and brought out some very hot home fries. Seemed like they had been microwaved but they were hot. Potatoes had a strange taste, couldn’t really pin it down. Won’t order the home fries again. Good choice of breakfast items on the menu. Will definitely try something else next time. They also serve lunch and dinner. Someone next to us ordered a hamburger and fries, which looked delicious. I believe they have daily specials so be sure and ask your waitress. Overall restaurant was clean and staff friendly. Will go back another time to explore their lunch or dinner menu. Glad to have another place to...

We've been coming here for years, (owasso location!) since they opened. Great waiters and staff, always friendly and hard working.....with one exception. The manager in the evenings, specifically Thursday June 9 around 7pm. Blue shirt, tall, blonde short hair in a ponytail. Several times we've brought our family in when she was working. Several occasions while being there with her working, she's gotten loud, purposely to draw attention, yelling at her staff, the things she says to them are belittling and abusive. Specifically the incident tonight, she was yelling at a cook about an order asking him loudly where everyone could here, WHAT DOES THE TICKET SAY? CAN YOU READ IT?! YOU TELL ME WHAT THE TICKETS SAYS! All of the customers stopped eating to look at her, my kids could hear her being irate and aggressive. Then she yells at him for everyone to hear,in spanish, (Which my husband understood, it's Spanish for you fat pig.)The poor wait staff was in embarrassment by the looks of their faces, covering their mouths. I cannot return to a restaurant with my family that is so hostile and abusive for all to hear, to their staff. Her behavior was disgusting, uncalled for and abusive. I cannot watch that and enjoy my meal at the same time. So until I learn that she's been removed permanently from the store, me and my family...
