First of all, since I found this wonderful restaurant, I love, love, love the street tacos (I have the Asada/Steak taco and the El Pastor taco each time and ALWAYS include the cilantro and onion with them! The onion melts in your mouth, there is no other way to describe it! Trust me on this one!)
If I’m going to get a dessert, the Fried Ice Cream is my favorite! But tonight I tried their homemade flan and it was sooooo good! I am sure I will get it again, but I just love their Fried Ice Cream! You can’t go wrong with either choice.
Secondly, the atmosphere and the warmth the owners and their staff give to you has been exemplary each time I have gone.
So, if you are reading this review to help you to decide whether or not you should visit this restaurant, than know I strongly advise you to give them your business, whether you want to dine inside their sweet place or if you want to order something to go! 5 stars!...
Read moreOh boy, let me tell you: as a traveler of Mexico & Central America, this is one of a very special few restaurants that actually feels like being in Mexico. The taste is utterly fantastic. Their ceviche rivals the ceviches I had while in Guatemala. I'd say it's the best I've ever had.
Over two days and different visits, I tried their ceviche tostadas, the ceviche platter, the chimichanga with ground beef and their tacos with al pastor and birria. All utterly delectable. Simply a flavor-bomb going off in your mouth. So much going on with spices and the meat that they clearly spent time cooking slowly. I'd go here every day if I lived nearby.
They also have a great selection of drinks and even have Jamaica, which is my favorite thing even if my body gets mad about it 🤣
Do yourself a favor if you're trying to decide. Eat here. You won't be...
Read moreWe stopped here through Owatonna on our way home from an out-of-state trip. I intentionally picked a non-chain restaurant for an authentic experience and was really impressed from start to finish. We placed a to-go order for 4 people last weekend. The place was buzzing with activity and I enjoyed hearing both Spanish & English. The employees were smiley, patient, and hustling to take care of everyone. Personally, I had the tacos al pastor and they were fabulous. The quesabairria tacos got rave reviews from our oldest child (18 YO). The agua fresca de piña kept us cool on a very hot day. Owatonna Taquera Jalisco, we'll be stopping again. Gracias por una visita fenomenal con comida única y tradicional y servicio...
