Blast Soft Serve — Restaurant in Owatonna

Objectively speaking, it's soft serve; you know what to expect. The flurries are really good, and the choices are amazing, but again, it's basically a better, cheaper Dairy Queen. One thing that stands out is that when the incredibly detailed chalkboard says a cone costs $1.50, it includes tax, so a one dollar bill and two quarters works perfectly. The portions are also monstrous. It's amazing.

The real reason that the Blast is so great, in my mind at least, is its location and its landmark status in Owatonna. It's right by a bike path that leads to a park and runs along a river, and it's a place where people congregate. I can't go there without seeing somebody that I know, and there's something comforting about it.

Some of that magic may be lost on non-Owatonna natives, but there's still the soft serve, and as I said, it's...

It says no dine in but they do have some picnic tables near by for you to enjoy your frozen treat.

Warning…. Be prepared for a long wait but it’s worth it. I have seen some wait times as long as an hour. Definitely not their fault they are a hot spot in town enjoyed by all.

They have a good variety from ice cream cones to, flurries some root beer floats and I do believe the banana split. I have never had a bad product from them.

They do accept cash and credit and even Apple Pay. They do not have a parking lot and rely on street parking. Please be respect of the homeowners in the area. I’ve seen people block driveways. If your looking for a nice break from the mundane I would definitely...

Went today to get ice cream, usually we ( 3 of us) have had great experience here however today we ordered and paid for 3 ice cream treats and only received 2. There was a line of about 12-15 people all of whom received their orders so by the time my other 2 people were done eating we had to leave as we had someplace else to be so not only was I without ice cream but also paid for something and a tip on a card.. we have chosen to try other places instead. It is good for thr price but can't get 3 orders... paid for...
