We came through around 3:15 or 3:20 to get blizzards. We didnt know that we had to have them rung up on the same ticket for it to apply. Originally we rung them up seperatley. The manager came to intervene from the crew that had to step away. I work in fast food myself and the manager wouldn't even give us our money back for the first blizzard order with the dollar off coupon. She was gonna keep our money on that and I had to explain it out to her that if she reopened the check to place a new total with both blizzards on one ticket, she had to refund us for the original total we paid for, and she wasn't even going to do that and she is a manager and I had to explain that to her.
There was then confusion about the 1.99 blizzard coupon we was trying to use. It says with the purchase of blizzard treat of equal or greater value. I thought originally it would just take the total down to 1.99 bit forgot it had to be the same size or greater, but that's not the issue.
That manager needs to be reprimanded. I didnt get her name, but the order was for a small blizzard and then a large Reese's blizzard and I can through around 3:15 -3:20 ish. The ordeal took about 10 minutes to get through. She should be on the cameras and there should be audio of her words.
She was incredibly rude, was going to take our money and not even refund it back for the order we canceled to place both blizzards on one ticket. She never even apologized once about that. I had to explain that out to her. She also made us feel unwanted there and like she didnt want to deal with us. I did my best to talk this all out to her.
I guess this is normal from low end restaraunts that have workers and managers that don't focus on their body language and how they come off to themselves in the workplace, or customers.
With mistakes, should come grace naturally, but not a repeated habit. Maybe this manager should be reprimanded and retrained on body language and apologizing to customers if they don't refund payments from a ticket they just canceled. Had I not have said anything I would be short around 5 dollars.
The blizzards were also melted by the time we got through the ordeal and she didnt even offer to make us fresh ones so I guess she felt we deserved sub par food. We wasn't trying to be rude at all, she was just a very difficult lady to deal with.
We didnt know and understand some things and the way she spoke to us was very aggressive like it was our fault we didnt understand. She didnt take the time to speak to us calmly. She just tried to hurry up and say what she felt like saying to get us out of the drive thru so the people behind us would stop yelling at us.
The atmosphere was very negative. Felt very sorry for the crew member that had to witness her manager act the way she did. I hope she doesn't think that's how her leadership should treat customers or each other. It was a very...
Read moreGo to a different dairy queen if you can, the one on 4th is the best one in town and well worth the extra travel. I don't even know where to start with my laundry list of bad experiences here.
First off, there is one girl that appears to work both the drive thru and lobby register. I've never caught her name but she is always wearing the same headband. If this girl is working I will go elsewhere, the few times she has taken my order she just speaks to me like I am bad cheese. The first time we had to deal with this girl, my wife asked her a very clear and simple question about the ice cream and she just stared at us. She repeated her question because we thought she somehow didn't hear the question. Nope, still just stares at us like we are not worthy of the answer. Never did get the answer to the question, we just went elsewhere to get our ice cream. Then when we got our receipt for our food we noticed something was not correct on it, we bring the issue to her attention by saying "hey, something isn't right on our receipt" and her response was just "no" before she even looked at the receipt lol. Like what do you mean no?? Lol.
Next, what is up with this location not having chocolate ice cream since ever?? Why would I continue going somewhere where the employees speak to me like I am trash and they don't even have one of the two things I order at dairy queen?
I'll just end it there, this location sucks. Go to the one on 4th St, they are always friendly, they have chocolate ice cream, and no one in a headband is going to ruin your day by speaking to you like garbage. What more could...
Read moreYou know I actually wanted to give this place a 1 star but I didn't wanna be RUDE to the workers who are actually nice and do their job. Tonight my husband and I just got back from a 2 hour drive and decided to eat out since we were getting back late. We pull up to the drive thru and I order a 4 piece honey BBQ basket. They said they were out of honey BBQ so I politely asked to give me a minute. After we figured out what else to get I proceeded to order. I asked for a regular 4 piece chicken basket with a drink then I ordered a flame thrower sandwich. My husband got confused on the flame thrower he had wanted a double instead of a triple. So when I got to the window I had asked politely if she could read my order back to me. She did and when she got to the flame thrower she said it was a triple and I said oh I'm sorry he wanted a double. She takes my debit card looks at her co worker and she had said something but I couldn't hear since the window was closed and the co worker she said something to I can see her face looked annoyed. She hands me my debit card back and I said Thank you and I'm sorry about that! She said "it's fine." Then she hands me our food and doesn't say a word to me not a "Thank you have a nice night!" So I didn't say anything either. This worker didn't have to be so rude when I wasn't even being mean. So for that I will not be coming back to this dairy queen. If these employees hate their job so much then they...
