I have been going to this place for years. Last year I had myself convinced it was somewhere else and could not find it.. I was sad. This year I used Google maps!!!@ yippie I found it and I was glad. I stop here when I can and I can't really rate any of the food besides clam cakes. Cuz that's what I get every time. They are so crispy and chuck full of clams....I can only really explain how good these are by relating an event today. I was driving and eating and the slightest morsel dropped on the floor and I was sad again but the next bite made me happy again. If you don't stop here when you go by or even go out of your way to go here you clearly don't like clam cakes.....I assume the other food is good too... Love Robijuankanobi.

Went for an off-the-cuff summer outing. We enjoyed sitting out on the picnic tables that were comfortably in the shade. There was an air conditioned eat-in dining room and also a screened outdoor eating area that looked nice. The meal was good, except the batter was very flavorless. Not a bit of salt or pepper or anything in the batter. It was fried well, but so very bland. I've never had fried seafood or onion rings done this way! The French fries were pretty great on the other hand.

Ive been coming here for years . It used to be top notch twenty years ago ! They never change up the menu . You can’t even get a lobster here ! No steamers or mussels ! Not even bacon wrapped scallops ! Why not ?! You better forget the baked haddock during the summer ! They don’t run the oven . It’s hit or miss . Depends if it’s the summer or winter crew .

The food was terrible! We arrived at almost 6pm and we were the youngest people in the restaurant by probably 25 years.... and we are late 30 somethings and early 40 somethings. That should've been our first clue! We ordered a full size fisherman's platter to share. The food was fried in a tasteless and unseasoned crumb/batter. The clams had a bad taste that's hard to describe other than to say we threw them out. We threw everything else on the plate out with them. The scallops tasted overcooked and like they had been frozen. The shrimp were a weird color and rubbery/overcooked. The French fries were the only thing that was pretty good. The teens working and the young man cooking seemed overwhelmed with orders on this Friday, but they were friendly and did their best. You could tell they were short staffed, it was also noted on signs throughout the restaurant and on the door. We are used to great fresh seafood in Lewiston/Auburn area and this was so disappointing. I've never thrown away an entire fisherman's platter in my life until today. This place might be for some but BEWARE of this place because it is NOT recommended. Go for the short drive to Auburn and eat FRESH seafood with some taste in fresh batter so you don't get sick. Don't waste your money here. We highly recommend Macs...

The first time I went, with these new owners I ordered fried clams, they were terrible. I thought I'd give it another try and ordered onion rings , they were thick and under cooked and greasy. I just went again today and the older lady behind the counter was making facial gestures at me because I was asking if the seafood was "farm raised or wild caught " , and if certain things were frozen or handmade, but she looked at. Me like it was none of my business! So I ordered a side of scallops and some sweet potato fries. They were awful. The scallops were cooked with the abductor muscles still on them , they were not taken off before they were cooked , discusting ! Also within a few minutes the batter on my scallops were wet and soggy ! I think they thawed them and didn't let them dry before they were cooked . I wasn't satisfied at all , and I've tried it...

Have to say the Lost Gull was a disappointment. It’s not to say that in the past was bad but this time around was not up to standards that one would expect for the price. First off I thought that the haddock box was with a piece of haddock some fries with a role and coleslaw instead just fish nuggets and some fries now the real downer was the shrimp roll which was just a small amount of fried shrimp on a burnt hotdog roll with a packet of cocktail sauce. Again a meal not up to standard because when getting a roll wether it’s shrimp or lobster it wouldn’t have breading on it but instead mixed with mayo abs some celery. But again it’s not to be a complete downer just would have been nice to expect better for the price. Did get a response it was a matter of a misunderstanding I suppose menu should be revised to make the choices more clear. Thanks...
