My family and I really wanted to like this place the menu is amazing, we really like the outdoor seating/fireplace and I will say the servers are great, very friendly always smiling. The big problem is the food! Again one of the best menus I’ve seen in a while but they can’t pull it off.
I just left there... Argued with the manager over the time that we were there and waiting for main course and salads. I told him we’ve been there for 45 minutes he showed me the ticket which showed us there for 35 minutes... yes it took them 10 minutes extra to put in our order, so what? I guess it was more important to tell me off and try to be right, then try to listen to my concerns.
My 7yo daughter had no food the entire time we were there and all she ordered was spaghetti (no meatballs)! The previous time we were there my daughters mac & cheese and my soggy cheesesteak (two of the three meals we ordered) were absolutely bland almost to the point where we couldn’t fix them with the Himalayan sea salt that was on the table. Then there was the first time we were there which was just my wife and I and I had gotten the sesame crusted tuna over a cold lo mein bed which was very good but they could not cook my tuna right. They did re-fire that one pretty quickly and I got another cooked perfectly. My wife had a burger last time we were there that she had to order medium when she wanted it medium rare because the server said the cooks tend to undercook things... Sure enough she ordered a medium and got a medium rare which was exactly what she wanted but why do we have to order wrong? These are all reasons why I won’t go back.
To be fair mixed in with those meals was some good food, but now the bad has outweighed the good. Yet another inconsistent restaurant in...
Read moreMy first time here was this past Monday (10/11/22 around 3-4pm) and without even looking at the photos or reviews online before going, the outside is what caught my attention especially being new to this part of CT a lot of older style buildings.
I was quickly greeted by the awesome server Micheal taking care of my table immediately at the time of sitting there was just 2 tables but still) he seemed liked he enjoyed working at this restaurant and now a days it's sad that not many look or give off that vibe anymore.
I ordered the chicken parm which tasted very good but for $25 me being someone who loves to eat was able to kill it pretty easily. My girlfriend got a breakfast burger and omg I wish I ordered that myself it was so perfectly cooked along with the fries when I return I will 100%%% order that dish. Finishing off with not only one one but two dessert pies that Oreo tasted like it was fresh out the pack and crushed the moment we ordered it I'm not even a dessert guy but that was the best one I've had in a long time.
I would definitely recommend this location for a nice Night out. Unfortunately I was told there was no Happy Hour and they had a small bar off to the side so I don't know if I'll recommend it for a quick stop but the food is very fresh and I definitely want to shout out the Owner Eddie for making our first...
Read moreWe recently reserved a private room for a luncheon in honor of my mother-in-law, who had just passed away.
When I called the restaurant, I spoke with a very kind young woman who took all my information. Within the hour, I received an email from the owner confirming our reservation and providing the menu options for the luncheon.
A few days later, my wife called back to finalize our menu choices and spoke with another pleasant young woman. She carefully noted all the details, pausing several times to ensure accuracy, and reviewed everything thoroughly before concluding the call.
When we arrived, the room was beautifully set up. The gas fireplaces created a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the overall ambiance was wonderful. Our hostess (Amy) was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the afternoon.
The food was amazing—hot, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The desserts were a particular hit with everyone. We opted for a cash bar, and the bartender was friendly, attentive, and excellent at her job.
At around $40 per person, I felt the price was very fair and honest. The staff truly earned every penny with their exceptional service and care.
We look forward to returning at our earliest opportunity for dinner—I can’t wait to explore more...
