Dear Mr Cosse , I went to restaurant today with my friend , Mr Cosse i am from St Bernard . I ordered the Patton hot sausage poboy half with a side of Jambalaya . Oh my gosh the bread was toasted so hard it crumbled ,one piece of Patton hot sausage on french bread is no where near enough meat to ratio for the bread. The jambalaya had a sour taste to it , I had to take it out of mouth with a napkin. My friend ordered the crab cakes they had no crab meat in them at all. 14.95 for a half poboy with hard french bread and one piece of hot sausage patty the menu said links or patty , but the links were out of stock. But how many links would be on 1/2 of poboy.?Come on Mr Cosse I dont mind paying high prices for food but this food was aweful.we told our waitress and we left. She took everything off of the bill. You know what true po boys are suppose to be , think of tonys po boys , arabi food store , rocky &Carlos. Big sandwiches with lots of meat and flavor on french dressed. What u are serving is down right not the real thing. Freshness matters quality matters quanity matters. That po boy I got today even if it was 5.00 I would not have been able to eat it. The bread was hard and crumbly .and the Jambalaya needs to be thrown out and made fresh daily .it was sour. I am so dissapointed and embarassed bc I took my friend here today for her bday .We left and went someplace else. I am not going to tell anyone about your restaurant they will have to read this post. And you are from the Da Parish !!! I told my friend before we went that i had high expectations for the food to be really good and it was the worst...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you like Golden Corral, this is about the same, but the prices are higher. If you like hospital food, this is 1 step above that. Now, some people might say, isn't this a little harsh? Well, let's see about that. I ordered a cup of corn & crab chowder. It was not recommended by my server, but I went for it anyway. It really should've been called corn, crab, scallion, thick, creamy, and salty soup. It was sort of edible. Some people may like it because they might not have ever had it before. I tried half a muffaletta sandwich for $15 ... perhaps a clue to morphing this "Place" into a popular Cosse's Pub Bistro where all menu items are quick bites and freshly made to order. The mullet was pre-fried, held in a warmer or under a lamp, and when reaching the table, it was warm and mushy. The Ponchatraine Pasta ... shrimp and crab in a thick cream based sauce met the pasty, overcooked spaghetti covered in grated cheese, and served with 2 small pieces of toasted, dried out bread. We had 3 bites and left it on the table. Cosse, you've been around the area for years. You've undergone many setbacks. This place is a culmination of your own shortcomings. It is awful. You either have to rethink this menu and work the kitchen yourself like a farm animal or give up. I'm probably certain that the most laid-back customer who doesn't cook at home will find your food better than a Swanson TV Dinner. I hope you can get it together. The guest check was $90, including a generous tip to the server, who was very friendly and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible food and service!! Don't go there. We ended up stopping at gas station for something to eat. There were only two tables occupied when we arrived. After 10 minutes the waitress took our order. She came back three or four times to tell us that they were out of different items. I order oyster trio and approximately 45 minutes I was still waiting, that when I was informed they were out of one of the trio! She brought out six oysters on a large platter with a little ice on it. The oyster shells were large but the oysters were very small. So they were not freshly shucked. About 10 minutes later she brought out the other six oysters which had cheese on it that was burnt to the shell. My friend order alligator bits with fries. After I was done with the oysters, she finally received her order. The fries were not cooked all the way and the alligator bites were so overcooked that she couldn't eat them. In the mean time my other friend had order gumbo fried when we all order together. After about 10 more minutes one of the cooks came out and told us they were out of gumbo. My friend complained and had the alligator taken off the bill. While all this was happening the table that was there before us finally got their order. The restaurant is very nice but the staff, cooks and manager...
