Real traffic jam. Unsafe parking lot situation. Drive thru lane creates left turn lane with right lane traffic making lefts "over" them. For years this has been uncorrected and a real problem. Their new location a block south will show with if they care about safety or common sense. This is an issue common with most McDonalds and fast food in general, sacrificing safety, increasing inconvenience, causing general mayhem over "perceived" fast service. Take a look at the runaround provided by Burger King across the street. They have all the room in the world, yet send you in circles as confusing as the Loop , just for an overpriced sandwich. Parking lot traffic designers have a real issue in this area, so much so that I avoid many of these retailers, which is sad because they are the closest to my home. I don't need to get in an accident in a parking lot, where rules of the road and speed limits just don't seem to apply. I'm not sure if these are Elk Grove Village codes or State codes, as I do see the same issues in Schaumburg parking lots as well. Big Boxes seem to be the worst offenders, but some retailers stand out as always being trouble free, and a real joy to park in. Think about it - Hardware Stores like Menards, Home Depot, & even Ace have eliminated safety concerns and poor traffic patterns in their parking lots. A concern for customer safety should be commended. This will be of greater concern with AI & self driving vehicles, mark my words. The future looks very bleak and unsafe, unless you are a lawyer, health professional, or automotive servicer, who stands to profit...
Read moreOrder was taken by friendly, efficient and professional, young cashier. Nothing wrong with ordered, prepared food. Prices in contrast to anywhere in Chicagoland, especially anywhere near Metro, Loop in Chicago were relatively more affordable (slightly cheaper). However, lobby was SO UNWELCOMING! Lobby, dining area, etc. was small, dull, cold in atmosphere & feel. Don't know if this particular McDonald's across Arlington Park Metra Station ever gets busy or gets rush crowds in breakfast hours or on lunch time. However, of it does, CAN'T IMAGINE wanting, having to dine/eat in this cramped, unappealing, dull, antiquated-looking lobby, seating area. Seating area, lobby looks like a very small, senior-citizen nursing home eating area. Such lack of attention to atmosphere, infrastructure by either corporate or franchisee is...
Read moreI would stop by every morning and grab breakfast before heading to work. There was no rush and I was asked to pull in a parking spot and I would wait. I just wanted to get my food and go. I just ignored it and this was a daily routine. What made me stop going was one day I’m halfway to Naperville and I grab the breakfast sandwich “Sausage McGriddle” and there was no sausage on the sandwich. This morning I stopped by because it’s closer to my house. I ordered a big breakfast plate. I got home and I started eating and I tasted onions. There were some burnt onions on my plate. I took it back and got my money. You can’t refund my time. Please owners do something about your morning staff. You have lost a customer who has spent a lot money at...
