Palm Shores Bistro — Restaurant in Palm Shores

I have been wanting to try this place for years, and finally, at long last, I had the pleasure of going. The word-of-mouth on this place, from those I have heard from personally has all been good. The opportunity finally came up and we took it. So glad we did...The TL;DR version of this is that I won't be waiting long for the return trip...

From the street it's a non-descript place, nothing flashy about it, kinda reminds me of a breakfast-only place if it weren't for the outdoor seating that tells me it's a full restaurant. The inside, nicely and warmly decorated, reminds me more of a diner than anything, but this ain't no diner - the menu and what is prepared and delivered to the table says otherwise.

For dinner I had their chef special of the sea bass, my wife had their chicken fried chicken, and our niece had their chicken tenders. The sea bass with the gnocchi and veggies was spectacular, while the fried chicken and the chicken tenders were enjoyed by my companions. For dessert we shared their coconut cream cake, chocolate cake, and chocolate chip cookies - all home made and in the case of the coconut cake - spectacular as well.

Service was super friendly, super efficient, and when they can keep my wife's iced tea bottomless - it's always a plus. I was impressed at how well they kept up with us and how patient they were, given it was our first time in.

It took me years to make it to this place. I will tell you, it won't be that long before I return. This is truly a gem...

On Friday July 12th at 7pm I brought 28 people to this establishment for my husband’s birthday. 20 of these people were brand new customers who have never eaten here. Before everyone was even seated “the Manager” asked if we were ready to order. The Manager was very rude and even treated our server rudely in front of us. We had a child ask for buttered pasta with fries from the kid menu. She was given cheesy pasta and her father was told after the fact that fries were not included with the kids pasta when the menu said all kids meals come with fries or fruit. Then somehow two extra meals were ordered and rather than the restaurant comping those meals the manager told the server she would be paying for them in front of us. That’s when my husband spoke to the manager who said she’d take care of it. Boy did she ever! She put one meal on our ticket and the other on my other family member’s ticket. Nobody in our party of 28 ordered these meals! The final straw was we were charge $15 for cake service because we brought our own birthday cake. We made a reservation on Tuesday saying it was a birthday party and was NEVER told there’s an up charge for bringing in your own cake. We even cut the cake ourselves! Do not waste your time or money at this place. They ripped us off big time and we will never ever return. My husband and I were highly embarrassed that we brought our friends and family here to be served with blatant disrespectful service from the owner...

A good restaurant with great food right along US1. This restaurant is located on the west side of US1 just south of the Pineda causeway. There is parking along the west side of the building. It is easy to get to this location. The entrance is right off the parking lot. It is a stand-alone building with seating inside and a small patio with some tables outside. On the day I visited with a friend, there was plenty of parking and most were sitting inside. The building looks like a converted house with a low ceiling, carpeted floor, and pastel walls. The inside is a mix of 2 areas. There is one area to your left as you enter is a mixture of booths and tables and it leads to the outside patio area. The area straight ahead had more seating. The kitchen and register are conveniently located between the two areas. IT was busy and service was a little slow but the waitress was wonderful, friendly, and efficient. The menu has a really good selection of various meals. I tried the pear salad. It came out in about 15 minutes and was excellent and very reasonable at $12. It took us a little time to get the check but the price was reasonable. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and a good place to get a good meal at...
