Tenth Street Coffee — Restaurant in Palmetto

I was not happy at all! I drive by this place everyday and the one day I wanted to stop I had a friend with me. It was late in the day there were 5 girls there. Me and my friend walked in looked around really nice place, so my friend ordered a coffee the girl said there’s no fresh coffee made but I can make you a fresh pot but we do have a pot already made decaf and it’s hot. My friend said sure I’ll take it. One girl was just standing there the other girls were walking around one was mopping the other two went out the back door. We were there for like 10 minutes waiting for a coffee. My friend says what do I have to do to get a cup of coffee it was already paid for we were just waiting for them to pour it. After they finally said oh sorry poured the coffee we left got out of the driveway my friend took a sip of the coffee it was cold I turned around went right back and demanded money back. After she left them a $2.50 tip. They said I am so sorry would you like a cookie or some thing and I said no my friend just wants her money back thank you. Will never go...

My husband and I wanted to check it out, as we love espresso and love to try local independently owned shops. The first warning sign was the amount of sweeteners they offered, it is always a way of masking low quality coffee. The coffee itself was so disappointing we were embarrassed for whoever owns this place. The espresso was not prepared properly, the blonde barista obviously did not understand how to pull a proper espresso shot. She didn't tamp it down correctly and the shot was pulled so quickly. It tasted just like drip pour coffee. Next, the milk was steamed so poorly, it was not frothed and the same barista just dumped it in. To start off horrible customer services, tried to use a gift card with a $10 balance didn’t work, the barista didn’t give a solution and simply stated if I had a another way to pay, but I insisted I had money, she states that they have been having problems and she would write my name down for the manger to look at, BUT didn’t ask for a number or any way of communication. Afterwards she hid in the back and never came out to solve the issue.

Next the food wasn’t good. The frappe was more of a milkshake and had a funky aftertaste. The donut chip was stale and not worth any money. The sandwich was poor, look just like a Dunkin’ sandwich, and sting with their bacon, as it only had 2 small bacon.
