This "Health Nut" juice bar is not affiliated or associated with the original Health Nut in McAllen thats located on Dove and Bicentennial. At least I think it's the original.
I tried their "Mean Green", that is named after the juice I frequently get from the original Health Nut, and it sucked! They also add ice to their juices, watering it down and in turn only really juice less fruits and veggies (cutting corners for profit). Besides being sub par, they charge $1 more for a "Mean Green: And get this, they also charge $1 more if you ask for no ice!! That's because they know they have to use more fruits and veggies to really fill the cup.
So you need to pay $7.50 for a regular size "Mean Green" that would properly be served on the smallest size of cup they have. Upgrading to a 24oz would be $8.50!!
I'll stick to the good tasting and no corners cut juice bar thats located on Dove and Bicentennial.
And the only reason I went a second time (the 1st was because i thought it was the Original Health Nut and was branching out with a 2nd location) was because I service and work in the area and wanted my routine morning juice, but by-pasted my regular...

I was really surprised and disappointed that The Health Nut doesnât provide any nutritional information (macros) for their protein shakesâneither on their website nor in-store. I asked the person who took my order, and she didnât know. She went to ask someone else, and the best they could give me was a vague âmore or less.â Thatâs just not acceptable, especially for a shop that markets itself around health and fitness.
As someone who tracks their intake seriously, knowing the calories, protein, carbs, and fats in what Iâm buying isnât optional, itâs essential. I was under the impression that businesses, especially those selling nutritional products, are required by the FDA to disclose this kind of information. At the very least, I expected some printed materials or online listings.
This might not matter to someone grabbing a shake casually, but for those of us who take our nutrition seriously, it makes it hard to trust whatâs in the product. I hope the owners take this feedback seriously and make...
Read moreStopped by thinking it was THE Health Nut. Looked and tasted like a knock off THE Health Nut. Very misleading and lacked originality. Was extremely disappointed in quality of products. Juices didnât taste COLD Pressed since juice had a lot of foam and could taste pieces of fruit in the juice. Looked at meal preps and a piece of meat patty and squash is a poor option for a âmeal prepâ. I am not affiliated with THE Health Nut but I was extremely upset that a business would straight out try to copy and paste a...
