The best private swim and racquet club in Silicon Valley! 8 tennis courts, 4 permanent pickleball courts (all with lights until 11 PM), and a rebuilt pool as of 2025. Plus a newly refurbished fitness room with personal trainers, on site food & beverage service, and club organized social events all year round. Easily accessible from 280 and Foothill Expressway - it’s truly a hidden gem.

We joined primarily for the tennis…

But the junior program is a waste of time unless your kids are in it only for the giggles or you just want a babysitter… We had to go elsewhere for our kids’ development (all three played or are playing college tennis, 2 at the D1 level)

Some of the women members are rude… they act like they own the place… it was beyond anything I’ve experienced anywhere… and we’ve belonged to a handful of clubs because of our moves over the years… other members have said the same thing… life is too short and membership fees too high to deal with snooty people like them…

The grill is good…

But there’s nothing else I can recommend…

We’re no longer members…

And have moved from the area…

There are much better options like Foothill, the bay club, and especially brookside in Saratoga (the latter has an excellent tennis and junior development program run by Steve Roberts… it’s where our...

We had our daughter's wedding reception here in July, 2014, with 110 attendees. The value was tremendous. Great kitchen, chef and menu. Pamela and Jessica are the most helpful, professional team we could imagine. They helped with every detail of the preparation, plus were there very visibly to help all during the evening of the event. Nice large indoor hall with large dance floor and great windows looking out onto wood veranda and trees. Side room for child care or dressing, plus another large lounge room for bar, displays, conversation, etc. Parking was adequate but for a larger group carpooling would have been helpful. Great location. We are not members but were welcomed like family. Can't...

We've been members at University Club for over 15 years. It started as a place for our kids to take tennis and swim lessons. Once they left the nest, it really became the hangout spot for my husband and me. I frequently use the tennis courts and the gym. I've taken pickleball lessons and play weekly Mah Jong. And I eat lunch at the "grill" once a week with my friends.

Ignore the (very) few negative reviews. Our general manager Robyn has worked hard to make this member-owned club a thriving hub for our diverse community. If you are looking for friendly, down-to-earth people who want to lead an active lifestyle, this non-clubby...
