Henrie's Drive In — Restaurant in Panguitch

This was supposed to be a quick stop on our road trip. We have never been here before but the sign said best fast food and we were hungry so we pulled off.

We ended up having to wait about 15-20 minutes for our food trough the drive thru lane. This does not inclue the 5 minutes wait to order.

We ordered two meals and a special sundae. We had asked for food customization on ONE meal no onions on the burger and substitute fries for English Chips, we did pay extra for the chips. When we finally go our food both burgers had a small mountain of onions and no lettuce on either burger and we got fries for both orders. The lady at the window kept walking off to deal with other orders so when she came back we had to ask if the English Chips and Fries were the same thing and we had to wait a few minutes extra to get the items we ordered.

The burger was mid and didn't have a flavor. The fries were warm and plain, we had to throw salt on them to add a little something (we had some in our car, we didnt ask for salt packets). The English Chips were also plain they looked like they had seasoning but there was none, again we put a little salt on them. The sundae was a special they had for a limited time (fudge brownie) and it was heavy, the like cup felt like it weighed a pound or two. Chocolate fudge on top with a brownie bits (fudge brownie so it was thick when you ate it and it got stuck to your teeth) then middle plain ice cream and at the very bottom of the cup was about an inch of fudge syrup with chunks of brownie. After the ice cream was gone it was not worth losing teeth over. 😬

On top of this, everything is wrapped in paper. The burgers are small and the wrapping they had was 3x bigger than the burger so we had to rip off the extra packaging to make accommodations for eating on the road. It was a bit annoying but we managed it.

Overall wouldn't recommend. We will skip stopping here...

I drove 50 miles, again, to eat at Henrie's. Never had a bad Chubby Cheese or a regular Cheeseburger (which is my regular choice) there. Today I tried the chicken sandwich. I'm sorry to report that I have never had such a poor excuse for a chicken sandwich. First, the chicken was the smallest piece of chicken that they could find (I think). It was tiny! One of their regular chicken strips would put it to shame. Second, I could see it was over cooked and brown inside when I finally ate enough of the bun that I could see the chicken. I've eaten at Henrie's lots of times and have never had a bad experience so don't think today's chicken sandwich is going to stop me from eating there. However, BEWARE of the chicken sandwich if you expect some chicken in it. Sorry guys, I do love your place.

Edit of above review: I again visited Henrie's and this time I waited until I arrived before I ordered so I could look at the menu. (last time I was about 10 minutes out and ordered by phone so it would be ready when I got there) I found that there is NO grilled chicken sandwich on the menu. Rather there is a grilled chicken strip wrap. In an effort to please a customer they used the grilled chicken strip in a bun to try and make a grilled chicken sandwich. I apologize. This time I ordered the chicken sandwich, which was just fine. Now that I understand, I rate Henrie's the 5 stars...

I’ve been here twice and both times I’ve been met with a similar experience. I was dissatisfied with the service as opposed to the food; the quality of the food was very pleasing. Both times my order was wrong because i received the incorrect burger. I didn’t have a problem with that, until I went inside and was met poor attitudes from the employees. The employee at the counter seemed okay fixing my burger but when another customer informed her that the coke was out in the machine, their faces dropped and were dreading to change it. I also observed 3 employees in the back standing around and laughing, one employee pestering the grill cook and one employee was eating fries straight from the fry area while on the clock. I get having fun and making the best of your day, but it doesn’t mean standing around, having a dreadful attitude, and doing whatever they please. I would have a better experience if the crew didn’t consist of conceited pretty faces with poor...
